Magic Find is bad for the game
I always considered MF sets to be for open world only.Where you have glass canons with insane burst dmg.Who can kill things fast enough and to receive good amounts of stuff.And as Anet said MF mechanic is only for monster.It is excluding chests out.So it’s a good mechanic for open world but not meant in my eyes to be used in dungeons.
I never understood why people use magic find in dungeons when it’s almost useless there.In my opinion at atleast.
And i don’t think MF mechanic should be removed.My brother for instance don’t lets his foot to step in instances so he uses MF set.It’s good for him.
But people who do dungeons why they use it there?I don’t know.There you should use your dps/defence/healing gear to survive and MF is not helping.

Completely agree. Dungeon loot should not be affected by MF. People doing dungeons must be encouraged to play with their optimal gear/build for best results and not be punished with less loot for it.
Removing MFs effects within dungeons would encourage team play and supportive playstyles. It should be done immediately and efforts undertaken never to encourage the use of substandard gear in future.
I have heared that magic find had to become important in dungeon due to player feedback. The resoning was “I’m so 1337, I’m still good enough in magic find. This way, I can turn my uber-skillz into ca$$”, IIRC. Always willing to reward individual players for their dedication to the game, the request was granted, partly because the game was in such perfect state already, the development ressources for this were not needed elsewhere.
