Dear ANET,

Please, have you EVER even tried your own game? The aoe circles from the cannon phase are incorrect size, the area that will hit you is larger then the actual area which is shown on the floor.

Besides that, there’s the fun of invisible rings every now and then.

Please fix this stuff, it’s a boss fight, boss fights shouldn’t bug this much.

This happens to me all the time, but I’ve talked to a few friends that play just as often or even more often than I do all with much better hardware than me and they don’t run into the problems of aoe range indicators either not appearing or appearing at the same time/after you already have taken damage.

I think it has to do with either your connection, certain hardware, or a combination of both.

Molten Duo is the only one that I think bugs for everybody else with the completely invisible aoes, but I know from firsthand experience it’s literally impossible for me to reactively dodge most of firestorm’s aoes because i take damage before I see anything appear on the floor at all.

Do you also have problems with Molten Duo? If so, you and I probably have these issues based off of what I said I think are the likely causes.

EDIT: By the way, I don’t mean my post to imply that I don’t think anything should be done to help alleviate these problems, oh no. I certainly feel like there are many bosses in this game that deserve upgrades on their aoe indicators (like Bloomhunger got a long time ago). I just wanted to try to help explain what the problem is.

If there are people who don’t experience issues with aoe indicators at Mai Trin at all, which there are, then yeah… it can help narrow down the root cause of the problems.
