So, Mai has been toned down a bit, huh?

Yeah Mai is pretty much back to what she was but Horrik still tends to hit hard.

I’m sure mai never used to deal 20.000 damage in one attack chain.
She still do that in melee.

Only Pistol got toned down.

GW2 balance:
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.

Isn’t this not occurring any more? This is from a lvl 49 run one or two days after the update that “fixed the scaling”. We did not run one single 49 after this any more, because of this. We gave up at that time after more than one hour of fruitless tries with our guild team.

Yeah, Mai Trin was toned down. She and especially Horrik still hit harder than before though, just not as hard.

Not sure if I’m happy or not about the Mai Trin change, if there was such in first place. Yea, she’s a pain in the butt, but isn’t that a good reason to improve our gameplay? :c

She used to do 2X damage with teleport and shots.
16.000+

Now you can safely survive any attack.

Issue.
Mai trinn have been turned from easy to BORING AND UNFUN.

There is no challenge, but now you will lose lot of time removing her shield.

Same thing they did with Jade maw at level 50.

I would argue they are trying to make fights longer rather than more fun.
The condition duration reduction should be changed to 75% base with a 15% less every 2 stacks rather than a flat 20% per stack.

P.S. not to mention the usual habbits of anet of putting totally unclear mechanics with no hints.
How a player is supposed to understand all mai mechanic without dulfy or forum?

Understanding her mechanic really isn’t much of a problem. Finding out who she targets for her teleporting shot may take a bit depending on how aware of positioning you are…
To this day I still wonder though why they don’t use the info text for enemies to put information in such as “teleports to farthest player”, “undodgeable”, unblockable", “unreflectable”… That would make things so easy for new players. If they can read or bother to do it, that is.

Glad they nerfed her, pugging lv 50 was turning into 3-5 hours run because of her.
