Making a Char Just for Dungeons...
How can they “fix” something that is working as intended?
Nerf it
nonono, see this is what’ll go down.
They will give all these super cool amazing buffs to things on ele that wont really matter, like more heals from staff or some crap, then quietly slip a nerf to FGS in without saying anything. Then refuse to comment on it for a few months, then admit they changed it and it is now working as intended in it’s nerfed state. Oh and add some more living story/open world content as compensation.

Ele since game release playing 99,999% of my time fractals and dungeons..
Tried all builds etcIf you want a reliable character for dungeons avoid elementalist at all costs.
Everyone wants ele for FGS bug, once it will be fixed ele will be the usual subpar profession. […]
Don t choose a gimmick profession based on glitches and awful outside that.
Well, in the good old WoW times, the only possible reply to this post consisted of three letters:

You obviously have no clue of the elementalist, since the damage and utility from a LH build should make quite some other classes cry.

Pugging fractals on a Warrior isn’t nearly as fun as it sounds. To get through any +20? Fractal in any sort of orderly manner you need someone with a brain controlling the projectile reflection/absorption, I really wish I’d levelled a Guardian or Mesmer in Fractals. Because when you’re standing on a tiny platform whilst getting whaled on by half a dozen flying Archers, there’s only one thing stopping you from dying and it certainly isn’t any sort of combination of Endure Pain/Shield Block/Balanced Stance/Dolyak Signet. It’s praying that the dipstick two platforms back staff auto attacking will come up and drop a Wall of Reflection/Shield of the Avenger/or even some godkitten Aegis. Don’t get me wrong, Warrior certainly has it’s place if you have a decent Guardian, but fractals without some sort of projectile defence is kitten near suicide and why I will never PuG fractals again unless I happen to level up my Guardian.

Pretty much this, except I am still considering getting back into fractals on my warrior even if it runs a slight chill down my spine.
Rushed up to 39 when I started doing FotM, where the realisation came that I am slowly getting less and less of control on the situation and more hoping to get carried. Plus I also burned out since I was doing 2-4 levels a day, simply wanted to progress.
There’s still some room to take care of yourself, but…

Lol I made a mistake of switching to warrior once after joining a group of 3 guardians. Then I had to switch back…

Wow this thread is more derailed than a train that hit a cow…
OP your safest bets are in making any other character. Get all of them to 20 – 50 so you can decide which play style you enjoy the most.

The meta is changing at an alarming rate!
Warrior or Guardian.
Guild Master
Warrior or Guardian.
^. Mesmer is nice to have, fun to play, and I love it. But 4 guards and a mesmer or 4 wars and a mesmer is fine (for most content). Anything more than 1 mesmer is a loss in DPS.
4 guards would be a bad idea aswell. Warrior is one of the few classes that can get away with being stacked.

If you have each guardian open with 1 or 2 mighty blows each in a purging flames/hallowed before switching to sword it can’t be thaaaat bad.
