Guild Wars 2

Hi all. I have recently just made a guardian and a mesmer and enjoy both. I want to pick just one profession to get a decent fractals level on that gives me a good chance to get groups. Is one better than the other for getting groups? I ask this trying to take into account how good the profession is in the dungeon but also the supply and demand of the profession. For example, one question to ask is: if a group already has a guardian, would they be less willing to take me as a guardian than a group that already has a mesmer trying to take me as a mesmer? Thanks!

Both are nice to have, but I’ve found that you can run into difficulties on the rare occasions that you have 3+ mesmers. You don’t run into that problem with guardian. Just… Practice being a really good guardian. o_o;

Guardian’s a faceroll class so if you’re worried you’re a bad player just roll a guardian.

I’d say guardian, hands down, especially as you get into the higher tiers of 30s and 40s. You start needing the blinds, pulls, reflects, and knockdown walls, and a Mesmer doesn’t bring nearly as much.

2 guardian 3 warrior on fractal 48 and you’re golden.

Guardians are better for fractals. I would think it would be easier to get in a group as a guardian and it would be better to play it if you get a bad group. I’ve been doing 48 for a few months and I’ve found that mesmers aren’t that great for fractals. Lately I’ve been going with 2guards 3wars, 3 guards 2wars, or 2 guards 2wars 1 ele and I’d say it’s better than having a mesmer. DPS guardian > mesmer for fractals.
