I want to find out what the minimum reward level is to get Ascended weapon chests to drop. If you have received an Ascended weapon chest, please post what difficulty level you were doing at the time. I already know that GW2W says the minimum level is 28, but I suspect this to be wrong. If a developer would explain what the minimum reward level is that would take out the guesswork, it would be ideal.

Minimum 28 is for Fractal skins. But…devs say anywhere or anything that drops ascended materials can drop ascended weapons. So….

You can get the ascended chest from ANY champion in the game that drops the ascended materials. That means there’s no fractal level for that
You can even drop that chest in fractal level 1 run

On the other hand, if you want to get it from the daily chest, I believe it’s only 28+

from when its 28+ ? O.o
as much as i know fractal weps u can get from minimum 20lv
and also i heard from one guy that he got his asc wep at 22lv fotm daily chest

In another thread, a player says that he himself received a chest while doing level 20. Also, Vexido above me says his friend got it at level 22. We need more samples please, speak up if you’ve received a chest from the daily FotM chest.

Yeah, I got a pistol from a level 20 daily. I will never, ever use it though, so jokes on me.

I haven’t gotten one personally, but other members of my fractal team have. We run 48 every day, a 38 most days, and either a 28 or an 18. I can confirm ascended weapon chests from the Maw daily chest at:

Level 48 (seen 2 drop)
Level 38 (seen 1 drop)
Level 28 (seen 1 drop)

Level 18 is still a mystery. We’re doing this one more just to figure it out, but it seems, like everything else you get from the maw daily chest, that the drop rate scales with reward level. I can’t think of a reason why it wouldn’t drop at the 10-18 daily tier since rings drop from that tier and “anything that drops ascended gear” was the criterion we were given for ascended weapon drops. Seems people may be confusing the fractal weapon min level with ascended weapon drops, but who knows.

I’ll report back if one drops in the 10-18 tier.

Just got an ascended weapon chest today. My personal lvl was 24.

I also got one personal lvl 27.

I know someone who got a fractal GS from level 20 too, don’t think minimum is 28.

I got an ascended weapon chest on a lvl 24 fractal and a guild member I was running with received one from a lvl 10. Both of us have reward levels in the early 20’s (mine 21 at the time) and the weapons came from the daily bonus chests in their respective brackets.

GW2W is being updated slowly as people get their Ascended chests with lower and lower difficulty levels, right now it says 26. We now have two people saying level 24 dropped chest for them. More samples please. If anyone took a screenshot I’d love for you to post it. I myself got a weapon chest from level 38, but that’s not surprising news.

If I remember well, they said you can get an ascended weapon chest from any reward that can give ascended gear drop. If we follow that logic, it means we should be able to get one as low as lvl 10.

“Ascended weapons can now drop anywhere ascended materials or other ascended items can be found.” (from patch note)

i would say don’t bother doing anything under lev38 if you want to get ascended chest one day

I just got an ascended chest (carrion, argh) from a lvl 30 maw daily chest. funny thing: in the same chest I got a fractal dagger, hehe.

i got asc chest from lv32( with perfect stats <3 ) so i would say dont bother to do anything below 30lv unless if u already did in that day higher daily fractals

btw i actualy cant see that diference btwn 30 and 38,40 and 48 …etc , only diference i see is that u get more fractal relics , but daily drop is as much i saw same at any 30+ or 40+
