I’ve paged through the Dungeons forum, but didn’t see this addressed directly. I am wondering what is the lowest reasonable character level that could expect to succeed in FotM for the first time (i.e. FotM level 1) ? I’m assuming a group of 5 level 1’s would fail miserably. What’s the minimum bar for success? (If it isn’t levels per se, then types of skills, etc.)

If there’s already a post/web site/guide that discusses this, feel free to direct me there, I couldn’t find one.

So maybe you can try level 75 is a reasonable minimum, but I just recommend doing it at 80.

My guild takes people into fractals starting around 30-40ish. Primarily to get them used to what the fractals are, and to make it so when they hit 80 they can jump more or less into level 7-10+ fractals.

with PuGs though, you’ll probably be heavily discriminated against unless you’re 80 or so. But that’s just how it is for most dungeons because of the silly 80 mentality.

At least 30-35 and enough skill points so you have an elite skill available, I’d say.

My guild did an alt fotm 4 run before with the highest level person being level 55~ and most being level 30. It was extremely easy though all but one of us had mains at 30+. Did Swamp, Cliffside, Grawl. Purposely did not do any bug, possible exploit, skipping, etc to ensure that the one person who was new actually learned how to do it.

anything else is pointless. Even the loot is nerfed, just ask my lvl 30 guardian (frak lvl 2)

I did with my guild just for fun a lv 1 fotm run with a lv 2, 26, 28, 80, 80, so i think any lv is good for the first fotm lvs, they are too easy. We did swamp, dredge and the third fractal was the asura fractal, we made it to the boss but some of the party had to leave, and we decided to finish the run there, we wouldn t get anything besides the chest anyway, since many were alts and the 80 s from higher lvls anyway.

In our guild runs we will not take anyone < 80 past lvl 6 and usually try to get most of the high lvl form members to join as an escort. After that the fractals change and hit harder thus a low level will be that muh more of an impediment. Other than that any guildy with a lvl 20+ is free to join us.

81, if you have less, you need to grind more !

I think that for level 1 fractal you are fine with a level 2-10 character. It’s not until level 8-10 that you should definitely bring something higher.

Just keep in mind that it’ll be just for fun and exp, and that you should not expect to get decent loot if you are less than level 80.

If it’s a pug then 80 is absolute minimum. If it’s guild team then it depends on how far your guild wants to carry you.
