Aye, I mean i’m with ya on it’d be nice if PS required doing something mroe than faceroll to activate. But, from there on this thread has been excellent fun, sad I didn’t see it sooner.

“Mesmer” and “overpowered” in one sentence. For PvE, I think not… Blurred Frenzy would be the most used skill, while Portal would be the most characteristic.

well what other game mode do you think this thread could be about, when it’s stuck in to the fractals and dungeons forum?

Mesmer has no skills that would be considered triviallizing an encounter, or namely “overpowered”. If you say Feedback can nuke Lupi then Wall of Reflection could do the same thing. Is it overpowered enough to guarantee a nerf (which happens to to skills such as FGS, ice bow, black powder or healing signet)? Nope, I think not.

Untraited Warden used to be borderline overpowered. Right now none of the mesmer skills are worth called overpowered, in PvE.

No need to be hypersensitive. I don’t intend to open any debate over every single game modes here.

The OP did not really go with skills that trivialize encounters. Because banner of discipline sure is not doing that.

Well can’t think of anything else on a warrior’s kit that is more OP than disc banner.

Phalanx Strength? faceroll max might is quite OP

if only phalanx str was a skill. But yea that trait is stupid OP. I kind of wished there was a more skillful interaction with PS than just button mashing. Imagine if Phalanx str work this way: Everytime you sucessfully crit, the enemy drops an “essence of strength” in a random area around it. If you “pick it up” before this essence lands on the ground, you and your party gain 3stacks of might. Kind of like draven axe in league. So SICK!!1

TBH, I sort of admire the effort. If this was an attempt to get pewpews into the habit of circle strafe melee so they could pick up mad healz…I can respect that.

Its actually a pretty nice idea for a utility/heal spec. I like its implementation. The permanent moving projectile block… Thats going to fun lol.

I actually think Ventari could see legitimate use in PvE due to the absorbing bubble uptime (near-permanent with proper energy management). Obviously the Staff won’t be used, but a mix of Ventari/Shiro could be really solid, swapping out Ventari for Jalis if you ever need stability (or swiftness blasting) more than the absorbs.

Yeah having ventari for the projectile defence is going to be better than using a hammer thats for sure.

The pirate ship model is now even stronger with Revenant. Guard may move to a more offensive position with bow :-j

It also reminds me of Orianna from LoL. Which was my favourite champ. So maybe it will be fun to mess around with.

I’m actually very excited about HoT, most of the new skills that they’ve shown so far are very active and skill based.

most powerful to me means when I use the skill I feel like I’m cheating.

warrior: that healing stance convert damage thing.
mesmer: that signet that recharged illusions.
thief: pistol whip.
guardian: contemplation of purity.
ranger: that make me invulnerable signet.
engineer: A.E.D.
necromancer: life transfer.
elementalist: ice bow

Why would life transfer make you feel like you are cheating? Its pretty terrible damage it just feels satisfying because its AOE it feels like it does good damage.

Yeah, but from Raider’s chests. It’s pretty much impossible for me to seriously consider Keeper’s armor when Berserker’s is an option.

Yeah but keeper’s recipes cost a kittening ton and have limited supply. Zojja’s are cheap and always attainable.
