Most wanted profession in fractals and raids
ele/chono/druid usually
Thanks!
But can you elaborate why those 3 are chosen?
I guess Druid for the healing, as well as ele.
And do people pick Chrono just for the alacrity support?
Or am i completely wrong why those are the most wanted professions.
Does anyone has some good builds for raids and fractals they would like to share? It would be very welcome to make up my mind
Ele is for damage and chrono is team support with blocks, distortion, quickness, boon sharing and alacrity

Yak’s Bend
Also PS war is good but they are a dime a dozen. That being said, the high survivability and the fact that screwing up on the rotation isn’t a big deal make them great for learning the raid fights

Thank you for your reply
But warriors are not my style.
Is healing needed in high level fractals? Or are rangers needed for dps in both fractals and raids or is the ele a lot better in that departmant. If so then i think it would be better go pick ele or chrono and let the druid be. I don’t like getting multiple armor sets (one for healing, the other one for damage) and rather just stick to one set ot stats for both type of instances.
Druids in general are brought more for the damage buffs than their own damage, though they can still pull out moderate dps. In raids depending on the group they will bring more healing or more damage depending on how well their team can handle damage.
Since you don’t want to have multiple sets of gear you’ll probably want to go with a tempest since some groups expect a chronomancer to have a set of commanders gear and others expect you to have a assassin’s/berserker mix with a toughness infusion or food thrown in for tanking.
Tempest all you need is a set of berserker’s gear for generally all the current bosses.
As for high level fractals you get more than enough healing out of the heal skills on ele and chrono as it is to the point that the druid is seldom if ever really healing. And you get more milage out of protection dodging blind or aegis than you do out of healing damage.
In addition to what has been said before: A good rev due to general boon and protection uptime.
The rarest thing but also my favourite is chrono. Its awesome to get one, especially if you play a profession that strongly benefits from quickness.
Ele…well damage. That and they can put down some fields and dont usually die.
Ranger for heals is not bad. You might not need it if your team performs well, but if they mess up, you have an easier time carrying them.
For the hard fractals, like high level cliffside and etc, unless you’re running them with a dedicated group that runs them all the time (yeah right), having a real healer helps a lot. Also, though not very frequently, I have seen people in LFG looking for a healer for a high level fractal.
If you’re only interested in running swamp and molten boss for the dailies, like most people are, then you go maximum dps. For that, people want chrono, warrior, herald, and tempests.
For raids, every party wants to have a chrono, warrior, herald, druid, and some tempests. Necros and engineers are also commonly sought. I’d say chrono is the most in demand, in my experience.
in high fractals, every group is better with a reaper using rise. rise minions are just plain better at bodyblocking than any healer could ever be and you dont have to dedicate gear to nondps stat combos. for both swamps of the mists and achievement completion.
head here to discuss wvw without fear of infractions

No healing is need need for high level Fractal. It can help for sure. A run with a healer is easier, but might be longer.
The strength of the Druid is that he can do the job of a Healer and Buffer without sacrificing much DPS. The condition Druid is not the best dps, but it still buff the party with Grace of the Land, Spirit and Spotter, while doing decent dps in Viper/Sinister Gear. It’s not a lot of healing, but still a lot more than most other profession can do. In that situation your main focus are dps and buffing, while you can still heal with astral form when needed.
Elementalist will be better than druid in term of dps, but less good as a buffer. In term of Healing/Support the Auramancer will have less healing, but give 40% Protection. Druid is usually view as superior (mostly because of the buffing capability).
If you prefer having one gear set for both raid and fractal, you would be better with Elementalist or Chrono. You can have 1 build for druid for both raid and fractal, like a Viper or Beserker Druid, but a lot of pug in raid prefer a Druid with healing gear.
Hi all, thanks for all your reactions. I have decided to go with the chrono cause i like the concept better you all have been a big help.
:)
Speaking for raids, the best class is always the ability to play multiple classes. If you only play one, and the group already has that role filled, then you’re out of luck.
That said, I usually find druids and chronos to be the most in demand. But again, most groups only take 1 of these (with the exception of 2 druids on matthias), so you limit yourself by only playing one class.
