The only reason I have to do fractal is 5 pristine fractals for Mawdrey. I just need 5 full run for 5 daily reward chests.

The problem is I am new to fractal and not able to spend uninterrupted 2 hours. I had to leave before the boss fighting, or, worse, kicked out by speed runners/experts etc…

I am asking your advise on doing fractal solo. I don’t mind spend 3-4 hours. I read somewhere saying fractal solo is no possible, however there should be some players made it, I hope.

I have Guardian, Mesmer, Engineer, Necromancer and Ranger, all 80 level.

I think today’s daily is 1 pristine relic for completing one shard. If you’re in no big hurry, you can wait for 5 such dailies and complete only one shard (instead of all 4) to get your relics.
Should be easy to find a group for only this daily, too.

Most fractals can be soloed, some of them are just hard to solo as they were intended for more players and some are physically impossible.
You may run into swamp or cliffside, which is possible to do solo (sandy FTW!), but extremely hard and not convenient for casual solos. Plus they might be impossible if you don’t happen to have the right class. Then there are dredge, where you need someone to stand on plates to open door, making it impossible for a single player to complete.
Low levels should be pretty easy to get through with a few people or solo, but for higher levels you may want to check out YT, which is full of videos where people solo sections or sometimes whole maps on level 50. This will however require a huge amount of skill and time as you will be also praying to RNGsus to get the right fractals.
If you like written guides, your best bet is probably gw2dungeons.net, it covers everything you will ever want to know.

That’s basically how I did it: Learn the Swamp fractal from gw2dungeons.net. Wait for “Daily Fractal” to come around in the rotation. Hop into the Fractal portal. Pre-roll the Swamp fractal. Post an LFG with “Daily 1 fractal only, pre-rolled Swamp”, or alternatively look out for such a listing. Do it. Repeat on four more days.
If you prefer slightly more fighting and less running/jumping around, the Urban Battleground/Ascalon fractal is also quite doable if you have a reasonable idea about what to do and where to go.

I am little bit confused. From wiki, I thought:
1. To get pristine fractal relic, you have to get daily reward chest.
2. To get daily reward chest, you have to complete the boss fractal.
3. The boss fractal is the fourth one in the set of four consecutive fractals.
4. So, you have to complete all 4 consecutive fractals to get daily reward chest. How can I get 1 pristine for completing one shard. Is the shard the reward from completing swamp fractal alone?

There are 2 kinds of fractal dailies: 1 requires a full set on a certain difficutly and one requires only one shard. Both give pristine relics.

"Daily Fractal" is the one you should be looking for.

If you’re doing what Laula suggests (which is a good idea) and still want to go solo then I find the Ascalon Fractal to be the easiest to solo. Possibly the underwater one as well but I’ve never tried that.

What Laulajatar said. That said if you play NA on 6pm or later PST feel free to hit me up, happy to take newer people through fractals, heck you might learn them and enjoy them

But yeah, do “daily fractal” run swamp, fool proof way to get your pristines easy.

Ah this is new to me :-)

Mow when I approach the Fractal portal in Lion’s Arch, I encounter the dialog saying “Recommended Players: 5, Personal Reward: 1, Difficulty scale: 1 …” How do I specify I want to do daily achievement fractal, not full set of fractals.

Sorry for this stupid question.

“Daily Fractal” is the one you should be looking for.

You don’t, you just start the full set, do the first one (you can leave a fractal then jump back intot he center blue area and you get put into another, this is how you reroll for the one you want for the first fractal, only the later ones do you have to do the random)

So you can roll for swamp, finish swamp, get your daily, then leave, however don’t join groups and do this unless they specify it’s just for daily, kinda a kitten move and all.
