Need some guidance for Arah
I do Dungeon Guides and I can’t wait to have a go at it.
But the gate seems to always be bugged so I’m finding it hard to get in…
1) Don’t pull him back to the waypoint like most pugs do. You will learn nothing of the fight and when Arena Net fixes this, well you are gonna have a problem.
2) Don’t dodge out of the red circles in phase 2. I realise it might seem hard to avoid them without dodging, but if you turn away from him and run forward you will run fast enough to avoid the circles that spawn below you. This lets you save the dodge for the projectiles that are not ground-targeted.
3) He will most likely pick one target and keep shadowstepping to that person. As far as I know it is related to toughness and what weapon you have equipped (melee / ranged). Let this player know he or she should focus solely on surviving. If you fail the encounter and have to restart, make this player equip survival skills.
4) If you get low on health, try to move far away from Lupicus. You will usually go out of combat and heal up through natural regeneration.
Hope this helped a bit, and remember that there are many guides out there on how to beat Lupicus so if you still have problems check those out!

It’s definitely not related to toughness. Yesterday we did it with 3 longbow rangers with almost identical max dmg gear and a warrior with the most amount of armor/toughness and it went for one of the rangers, apparently for the one that didn’t have the exotic guild backpack, all the other pieces were equal, with equal runes and equal sigils.
With all that said Lupi will pick a shadow walk target and stick to it, until it’s dead. So it’s very important to have that person kite the shadow walks well and of course to avoid dying. As a ranger I found signet of the hunt and lightning reflexes are very useful for managing that.

That’s strange, Lupicus has definately favored toughness specced characters for my groups in the past. Was the warrior using a ranged or a melee weapon?

At the time of the first shadow walk I think a melee weapon. (hitting the last grub with it) Later on a gun.
