Excitement they just announced a new dungeon on the MMORPG’s live stream. Apparently the dungeons difficulty increases as you go through it! I’m so excited being a HUGE dungeon addict! All the other stuff is cool too of course but … dungeons <3 Thank you so much! I really can’t wait. Anyone else as excited about it?

I really like lupicus if that counts for anything, although I understand other people not so much XD
We definitely need more Lupi style encounters (Multi-phase boss) MUCH more than we need ol’ lets say the majority of bosses in dungeons.
Lupicus is great, hope they add more like him.

About sums it up.
I feel like the dungeon will probably be something like an “endless” or at least “multi level” dungeon thing. You know how games had those towers with 100 floors or whatever? Something like that. With the loot being better as you go through the floors.
haven’t done Arah yet or really looked up Lupi, haven’t only heard about him. is he really multi-phase?? i love boss encounters like that. as frustrating as they can be at times lol. looking forward to trying it out eventually AND for this new dungeon!!!!
so many noobs and their “bu bu but its too hard and i’m not having fun” lol go back to your Wii Fits. If the new dungeon is rewarding i want it to be hard as ****. Twice as hard and longer than Arah! Sado-Maso is needed in gw2.
What makes you think it will be rewarding? The others are not. Loot is junk, token gear no better than crafted.
if you want a game with higher item stats in every dungeon..find another game, this game is about accomplishment..not a gear treadmill that people have to participate in to be viable.

What so they should make it so easy that we beat it in 10 mins. There needs to be balance between easy/hard dungeons, not just easy ones to please all the people who can’t complete it. If you make it to hard then the people who can’t complete it complain and same if its to easy.
If your someone that has to complete every thing and can’t complete a hard dungeon such as this one sounds like then you either need to practices it more or find a better group.

It’s exactly the other way round, it the dungeon would be as pointless and easy as most non-Lupi-fights it would suck. We already have enough dungeons that are no real challenge, this needs to change.
Multi phase bosses aren’t the issue, nor is Lupi an issue just because he is multi phase. Lupi is an issue because he is a guaranteed death, two or three times while being a multi phased boss that Takes nearly 20 darn minutes to kill. No freaking boss encounter should be this radical. Anet gets their kitten off this boss for some reason and the cries and pleas to make him more reasonable have been ignored, yet people continue to rage about this one darn boss. He is off par with any other boss in game. Period.
Lupi is not a guaranteed death, you probably will go down once or twice, but you won’t die unless you are careless or a glass cannon. Getting downed is part of the game and it’s also not like dying in other MMOs. If you are downed you party has to get you up on your feet again, but they also have to wait until the time is right to do so, this adds another, tactical element.
I agree that Lupi is off par with most other bosses, but that’s just because they are all way to easy.
People just have issues coming to terms with their skillfulness. It’s much easier to blame Lupicus for being to hard/broken when they are bad dodging, refuse to slot/don’t know how to use survivability skills and are bad at spotting his obvious telegraphs: lean back for aoe spew, palm thrust for fast shot ball and ground punch for burrow. They made him massive for a reason!
The only true issues I have with Lupicus is when he is hit by a certain ranger effect/a certain combination of efffects (I think entangle or summoned birds+???) his texture fails to render so you eat the rapid snot ball and how easily he resets if his target stealths.
I reason lubicus can take along time is because some players are new to this boss and get downed/killed all the time, they dont do much damage then. Another reason can be that the players HAVE done him before and geared/traited to get toughness/health instead of damage.
Once a party have done lupicus a few times, kill all the grubs and have plenty of offensive gear/traits and even less d skills he will be fast to kill.
I just hope the new dungeon is fun, the way dungeons used to be fun in GW1. It doesn’t have to be easy, or extremely hard. But please make it fun! Please show us levers, pressure plates, keys, gates, underwater sections, jumping sections, traps (that can be deactivated and also affect enemies!) and branching paths. And yes, please give bosses multiple phases.
I just hope the new dungeon is accessible all the time not like Arah which is never accessible for about two months now…. -grumbles-

i have to admit when he said it gets harder as you go through i cant help but think is’nt that the whole point?
more importantly however, will there be new Dungeon Gear/Tokens from this place?
I agree with Fay. It does amaze me that they can create a new dungeon and content when this minor issue or entering the end game dungeon can’t even be entered.
Even more frustrating that there is no clear view on this situation.

Awesome, but maybe fix the old dungeons first? I mean it’s not like Arah is bugged or anything no, it just need some minor tweaking…
Don’t see the need for a new dungeon when so many people haven’t done the ones already in-game, with lack of interest in dungeons spreading because of unfixed bugs and crappy loot.
Its great to hear this news about a new dungeon but i do believe you need to work on the designs a lot more. The lack of a “holy trinity” is fine by me i don’t really mind but the whole idea of making everything DPS and kiting seems silly. Add bosses with mechanics that need players to do certain things to reduce there damage output so people can survive ( make people play supporting roll not just dps) or add an immortal ( or nearly immortal) mob that causes people difficulty and needs someone to play a controlling aspect like stuns, slows push backs, blinds and dazes while a boss fight is going on. Right now all people need is damage and to stay alive there is no difference in rolls or so little that its negligible .

Because they want new content to appear flashy and like they’re working on the game constantly because they’re so great and awesome!
No doubt the new dungeon will be as broken as the old ones and maybe they’ll fix it by the time Guild Wars 3 is out.
