Hi! I don’t create forum posts too often so you’ll have to forgive me if mine is a bit addled.

At any rate, I only have two suggestions for dungeons.

1) New Player Advertisements. When college quarters begin, I entirely leave GW2. After I return during my breaks, I love catching up on all the new changes. However, I no longer remember how to complete most dungeons. It’d be great if there was a category in the LFG tab where players, who are new to XYZ dungeon, can post.

2) Kicking. I’m sure there are numerous other posts that cover this, but my lack of fresh knowledge in dungeons makes me a ripe target for kicking after 30 to 40 minutes. Sometimes, it occurs moments before a boss. It’d be really helpful if there was a mechanic installed that required a majority vote to kick (at least 3 of the 5 members), and provided punishments for those who frivolously or wantonly did so.

Cheers,
Emkorora

Anet doesn’t give a kitten about what’s happening in the lfg tool because it doesn’t break their rules. You can advertise anytime for " P1, i’m new".

If you’re on EU and need help to get into dungeons, pm me.

1.. You can simply post. “X dungeon New player” Infact it happens all the time.
2.. Frivolously or wantonly= whose definition? If youre being kicked its typcially 1 of 2 things.

2a. You arent listening/cooperating with the group.
2b. Youre so bad that the have lost all patience.

2a. Subjective.
2b. Subjective.

recap
1.Post lfg saying " New player x dungeon"
2. ??
3. Win

Perhaps you’re right. Still, I think something should be modified.

Anet doesn’t care about you, or anyone else’s, opinion. Run the dungeon and pray you don’t get the instance stolen.

Only run with friends or guildies, but if you must pug, make sure you screenshot everything, including their username, character portraits and chat logs. Also it is better to stream your entire run on twitch, notify it on reddit for witnesses. And then create another thread full of proofs, description and at least 100g for devs to take action.

Also play with a friend. Be ready to kick everyone at the end because that’s what anet wants.

You’ve come at a bad time, OP. There’s a lot of drama over kicking with the new instance ownership system.

The patch Tuesday “fixed” an old problem: if the player that started the dungeon instance left the party or was kicked, the instance was destroyed and all party members were kicked from the dungeon, losing any and all progress.

Now there are people who are joining parties at the end of the run, kicking everyone out, and inviting their friends to get the dungeon rewards. Worse, an ArenaNet employee said earlier that in certain cases, the players getting kicked are at fault for advertising a vulnerable party.

So your innocent suggestion (which I think is a good one, btw) is going to be met with a lot of anger and snark, because frankly, we’re in shock at what ANet is saying and doing, and lashing out on these forums is the only recourse we have.

So please bear that in mind as you look at the incoming responses :-)
