I’m not sure how they quite work. What’s this with doing one and you get all tiers.

If you the daily fractal above level 76, you get all 4 of the daily chests for each tier: 1-25, 26-50, 51-75, and 76-100. For example today if you do the Urban Battleground on fractal levels 78 or 85, you will get credit and a chests for each Urban Battleground daily fractal for a total of 4 chests.

Dr Eckers explained it perfectly. However, I agree that the in-game UI doesn’t make that easy to see in the least. Maybe that’s a limitation of the achievement panel. As it stands now, there are 14 dailies that can be completed by doing 5 islands. I’d rather see just five achievements, with text & mechanics that make it clear you get 4, 3, 2, or 1 chest depending on what tier you do.

So basically, you only have to do 5 fractals to get all chests/dailies?

Yes, only 5, 3 of the highest tier and 2 daily recommended.
