hello everyone, the names dan but i have a few new lvl 80’s that i am interested in raiding with. a warrior and a necromancer. i am brand new at GW2 raids. i have played other games where raids and dungeons happen so i am not new to the idea of one. i am still new to the community so i am looking for a guild that would work for someone like myself. i appreciate all kittenpond. thanks!

I would recommend trying the looking for section of the forum, it might also be helpful to mention what timezone you are in.

I my self don’t Raid how ever I’ve read a lot about the subject, focus on your Warrior and run a Berserker Phalanx Strength build, with boon sharing limited to 5 people most Raid groups use something called Mirror Comp so any Raid group would use two Warriors.

Once of the most annoying things to do in a raid is having to carry someone. A lot of raid squads run DPS check programs so they know whos falling short.

You can get your full beserker set for COF, and farm the new hot areas to grab the ascended accessories. The weapons you will likely need to craft, most important being the GS if you are going warrior. Honestly probably dont need an ascended shield or mace.

Honestly you can probably get away with an ascended Greatsword and exotic versions of the other weapons provided you have ascended trinkets and the proper runes/sigils since you’ll be using greatsword the most. Really for a PS warrior though people don’t care about your dps as much as they do your might generation so having the proper rotations and knowledge of mechanics to avoid going down is more important than anything else.

Just get an ascended weapon, it’s where most of your damage upgrade from ascended comes from. Exotic armor is perfectly acceptable, and ascended trinkets of the berzerker stat type are super easy to obtain anyways.

As a new player you’re better off saving the vast amount of gold you would sink on ascended armor to use for raid consumables (sharpening stones, food) instead.

Get your ascended armor slowly from running T4 fractals.

Well you’ll also have to help with breakbars and the rotation is a bit more complex, but that can do the job.

Keep in mind that would be playing PS warrior at the most basic level and ideally you would get a bit more complicated and try things like condi PS, but that’s not a bad place to start.

I would make sure you watch videos from a warrior’s perspective before you do any raid though.
