Im just asking because you guys havent advertised raids at all like you did with hot. Now i know that new raids and fractals are comming but, are they tied with Pof? Because if not that gives me more reasons not to buy the expac.

Forsaken Thicket and Bastion of the Penitent are both tied to HoT thematics (White Mantle). I think we can expect the new raids to touch PoF thematics and require PoF, LS4 will also require PoF same as LS3 requires HoT.

Yeah i expect so but it looks wierd to me that theres no mention of a new raid. A trailer, some concept art or w/e really. Mostly to excite the ppl looking forward to that.

There’s little reason to publish any specific raid-related things right now. We know there will be raids, but I’m pretty sure they want us to play the other stuff first. I expect the first raid to hit a few months after PoF launch, so raid material will probably be published in time for that release.

I never expected a raid to be there on launch and tbh it would be a stupid thing to do. But as you hype ppl by teasers and trailers of living world updates you need to show something to ppl that thiking of buying the game to grab their attention. Or at least thats how i see it.

Fractals would probably not be tied to expansion.

Raid would most likely be. In fact, the current raid wings require HoT masteries (gliding, updraft, ley-line, bouncy mushrooms).

It wasnt a question of “will there be new raids” because imo this is a obvious thing. It was more of a question “Are the new raids Pof ony? And if so why not advertise them abit to grab the attention of ppl interested in that.”

As i have implied this was common knowledge and kind of a waste of your time to bring it up.

Hmm, It’s possible that the raids in PoF might follow the standard for Forsaken Thicket and Bastion where there are Raid masteries which help for fights. Mounts can’t really be used out of combat so if there was a PoF Mastery involved it would be for travel purposes in the raids.

I expect the devs know this.

There could be the spirit run even in w1 but instead of a ghost wall theres a collapsing pyramid and we try to espace with raptors. But there was that mount leaked that isnt in the 4 we have now and could be a raid mount.

Fractals are core content, not HoT content. I doubt this was a dev statement.

I remember this response and it was with respect to Raids (during HoT only) requiring HoT. A player asked if there were any Core Tyria raids and it was responded with a resounding No.

As far as what new raids will req. To do hot raids hot be req amd to do pof raids pof will be req. Fractals dont req either. Both expansions are seperate. And dont need each other. U get base game free then u can upgrade to hot or pof or both..
As far as the builds used for new pof raids that will be based on the player base n meta
