I am in a casual guild. We have completed AC once or twice. We have done CM, including two of the EXP paths. Personally I have randomly run other dungeons when I had time and someone was LF1M.

Tonight three of us are going to FTOM in order to get the monthly achievement. We will need some help, perhaps some guides. I have been in the fractals once, and completed the winter one.

Question one:
I have a level 80 necromancer that is 50% in exotic gear, but I recently changed from a condition build, to a might build. So the gear does not line up with the build, since I could not afford all the new gear. Or I can bring my level 42 guardian. I like the guardian due to all the group buffs, and I hear stability is useful, but I have not figure out when to use it. Which character will do better in FTOM, with two other newbs?
My guild mates will bring a level 80 warrior, and an 80 elementalist. I am sure they have random gear, and no research about effective builds, but the warrior is in all exotic gear anyway.

Question two:
How do we find people that want to go with us? I am afraid that if we simply say LF2M Ftom, that the other players will quit the group when they discover we are not simply “running through” it, but we are figuring out all the tricks and strategies.

Question three:
what do we need to know ahead of time, so that we have a chance of getting through 7 of them, and completing the monthly?

Thanks!

Question 1 – You will have a greater chance of progressing with a level 80 (if progressing is what you want) – Since the Agony resist items are level 80, at Fractal level 10, the rings would be useless to anything under 80.

Question 2 – gw2lfg.com – In your post, state that you are new so there are no surprises.

Question 3 – As long as you know your class, you should have no issues getting through Fractal 1 and 2. You can look up the fights for the bosses since it might be a little long to post here. Fractal 2 will end with Jade Maw (all even number fractals do). If this is all of your first time fighting it, you would probably want to look up the strat.

You will be done with your achievement after doing a full Fractal 1 and 2.

Low difficulty fractals don’t demand anything special. Feel free to jump in.

Post on gw2lfg.com and say “LF2M Fractal difficulty 1, inexperienced players welcome”.

You’ll either get 2 other inexperienced players, which is fine, or you’ll get an experienced player that’s bored who will help you out, which is also fine.

No one’s going to be trashing you for being a noob in level 1 difficulty.

As for actually completing them, if you’re sitting around today it couldn’t hurt to look up videos on a few.

People tend to be a lot more … understanding… with level 1s rather than level 10+. As said, just post that you’re inexperienced. Either you get likewise people or you’ll get a high level person who felt like helping on a whim.

Level 1 is nothing special. Tank’ish and Balanced builds are stronger compared to condition builds but it’s not too big of a deal until you get higher up. It has to do more with knowing and learning the specific fractal mechanics rather than build.

Low lvl fractals are easier than the normal dungeons.

When you look into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you.
