tl;dr There is named loot/recipes with unique stats/flavor/look but almost no one knows.

Each dungeon has a new set of unique items with new stat combinations, ranging in rarity from masterwork to exotic. These items have a chance to drop off of certain bosses in the explorable mode of each dungeon

DB site lists a lot of named Masterwork/Rare/Exotic trinkets with hard-to-find stats triplets that “should” come from the bag-of-wondrous-goods-bosses. Some do not even show on the TP, meaning that (almost) no one in the ENTIRE population of GW2 has ever dropped them.
There might be some “issues” with the droprate.

Are these dropping together with, instead of or inside the bags of wondrous loot and (not to start a MF debate) but does MF increase the chance of getting an item instead of a bag?

Is scaled loot supposed to drop at all? Look at this ring obviously coming from AC. There is a whole range of lvl and rarity but TP has only the lvl 35 version for sale, that’s coincidentally the dungeon lvl. Others do exist, since there are buy orders for them.
We’re speaking of AC, the most farmed dungeon of the last century.

Onto exotics now: there are jewel recipes for trinkets that cover stat combination exclusively from dungeons, some that (thanks to stupidly bind on account exotics from Fractal) are otherwise non-farmable-in-a-finite-amount-of-time, like this one I had to pay 60g for.
Shame they are so rare and unfarmable that some took 2 months to show on the TP: Arah 1 Arah 4 and one is not there yet: SE 2 (that might have something to do with those dungeons too)

There is named backpieces too, supposedly from bosses w/o a recipe, that might have unique looks. Again the only one confirmed is AC 2 and there are even misterious recipes on wich I have yet to get any info.

Can we have any of the following:
- reliable infos: people will know about these and how/where to get what they want
- finite-amount-of-time droprates: might actually be worth doing old dungeons for these
- exotic stuff avaliable for bazillion dungeon tokens or on TP: treating it like existing sets and artificer recipes, no one likes RNG when it comes to BiS gear or favorite looks.

Yes i go the ghost eater hide drop once from the final boss.
But it is account bound.
And there was not a unique look for it unfortuantely.

These items drop instead of the wondrous bags.

I’ve actually seen lots of the recipes drop in various dungeons. Oddly enough they always seem to drop for someone that a) isn’t 400 jeweler b) isn’t lvl 80 Since they are account bound on acquire it’s a double whammy to the availability of the actual items

Not always. I got the accessory exotic recipe (Ashes of the Effigy) from COF P1. I was doing on my lvl 80 mesmer w/400 jewel crafting.

Did you have any MF gear when it dropped?Done tons of AC and CoF runs with 400 JC, but I never saw any of these .

I’ve only seen 2, and one of them was mine.

Got the Nightmare Coil recipe from Leurent in TA with an Omnomberry Bar, so 30% MF.

Saw a Tortured Root recipe from Fyonna in TA drop for a friend with 30% MF as well. Never seen a recipe before or since those two, and all I do are dungeons.

Both of us were level 80 w/ 400 Jewelcrafting.

i want new armors/weapons that aren’t made in mystic toilet but drop from end chests or certain bosses. I want to FARM sweet jesus is this too much asking!?

I have gotten lots of masterwork versions of these items plus a single rare. No exotic though sofar.

A guildie got the recipe for plague in CM path 2 from the boss. Level 80 without MF and not a jewelcrafter.

Thanks for the informations.
It seems that these drop in place of the usual bag of wondrous goods and it might be the reason because people where complaining about getting different number of bags from the same run.

Still trying to get some consensus if these drop from the actual corpse of the boss or from the chest. Dropping from the corpse might add to the rarity of these since one might forget to check the body and go straight to the chest.

Wouldn’t matter whether they did or not anecdote wise. They’re just super rare.

I’ve started doing some TA:fw→up for the backpiece and I can confirm those drop instead of the usual bags of wondrous goods.

Moreover so far I got stuff only from the boss corpse rather than the chest.

UPDATE: in the last couple of days Arah 1 and Arah 4 jewel showed up on the TP, proving they do actually exist.

I don’t understand why these are so rare. The items you can craft aren’t the most amazing thing ever. They can’t even be seen by other players.

Exactly, there is no reason for those to be so rare that some have yet to actually drop, after 2 months.

They might not be seen by other players but some of those are the only chance you have to get specific stats on some gearslot, the alternative (although not a feasible alternative) being stupidly-account-bound exotics from Fractal.

I got the recipe for Operative’s Creed, it dropped from the last boss corpse in Mursaat path of Arah. I did not recipe a bag of wondrous goods or a dungeon specific piece of loot besides it.
