I just wanted to inform all of you dungeon sexies that the next CDI thread will be on fractals. I encourage you all to keep an eye out and to participate. I will post a link when it’s ready, I’m guessing that will be in a week or two, but if any of you catch it before me, let folks know.

I hate how the CDI threads shift to those peoples opinions who have the time to post essay after essay. The current thread had some really good ideas and then it got filtered to be talking about stuff that most people dont really care about. The vocal regular posters managed to steer the discussion towards what they wanted.

I suspect thats what will happen with the fractal thread aswell.

Well, let’s try to be those essay posters… I mean, we could spend our efforts there for that week or so, rather than here.

Hmm, it was proposed by Chris that we may have fractals as a CDI topic soon, because of a personal preference. However, there will first be a CDI-evaluation thread.

It is in that thread that the actual next topics for the next CDI will be determined.

This is not to say that it will not happen. But it is not promised as far as I know. So if you do wish for fractals to be the next topic of the CDI, be sure to mention that in the upcoming CDI-evaluation thread.

I think we should discuss that in the CDI Process Evolution Phase 2 which will start on Wednesday 22nd. Among other things we need to chat about what topics to discuss in the next CDIs and how to go about choosing them. I would personally like to have a week long PVE CDI on Fractals next (Running in conjunction with a PvP and WvW CDI) but we should discuss it as a group first.

I´m crossing my fingers it is.

I think that if he wants to talk about it, and since there are A LOT of people who also do, that it will be the next CDI. I think that’s a reasonable assumption, and either way it will be a CDI soon. So we have to be prepared.

Definitely hope this will be the case and, above all, that it will be useful and not just promises vanished just like fractured update which was pretty much a fiasco except for the new maps

So in all seriousness, we could use some feedback. It’s great that you are willing to discuss fractals, but could we possibly include all dungeons in this discussion? Along with possibly the discussion of new/upcoming dungeons?

One point I want to ask the CDI group for help in is just the size of the threads and their accessibility in regard to this. The larger the thread, the harder to engage properly and the lower the value impact on the game.

With this in mind I am worried that having any CDI topic be to big is going to lead to dis-economies of scale. Therefore this is something we should discuss in the Process Evolution CDI. On top of this it is not OK for me to just pick the topic of discussion currently and therefore whilst I would like to discuss Fractals next, that doesn’t mean that this will be the case.

We can discuss further in the next CDI. Meanwhile let’s concentrate on finishing of this CDI topic please.

To be honest, I don’t even want them to mention the leaderboards anymore. It was an utter failure on their part.

Bring up this point the “process evolution” CDI. The devs need to stick to narrower subjects so the thread doesn’t end up 10 pages long in 2 days. “Character progression” is about as broad as you can get. Even the devs have a hard time keeping up with the thread.
