No Fractal Experience
I’d suggest find a nice guild that has experienced players to introduce you to fractals.
Stupid? Yeah probably, but otherwise you’ll have to rely on random people who might know as much about Fractals as you do.
Could also make a Fractal LF group called:“New Player LF Guidance”

^^ very nice picture aided guide.
If you like videos then the KING one is great. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnOcbGWBvXg&list=PL-f7beQOnuHhR9Rkjyv0e6gl4TKU0RVzj&index=4
Then there is GW2dungeons.net that has resources for everything dungeon/fractal related.
You can watch thousands of videos of factals and read same amount of text about it but i suggest to make your own lfg starting from lvl 1. I remember how much fun i had when i started doing it 4 months after the game launched, it was good and bad, easy runs and the ones that lasted till 4 am and everybodys armor was broken so we exchanged blues and greens to wear and pray that any ring would drop so we can get +5 ar finally start from lvl 1, and see it for yourself. Learn yourself its the best experience you can get
also you NA or EU? If you’re EU I can go with you.
As asked, are you Na or Eu? If your Na come find me, Ill love to help.
I’ve also been in your situation. Now there’s a simple method for you to get slowly used to the fractal runs, without having to learn all the tutorials.
Before acting, observe what’s the tendency of the group. If they melee, join them in the melee, if they range, do so.
Do also pay attention to the description of the buffs of the ennemies targeted (when they are boss or mini-boss) : you’d want to make sure they don’t reflect or do nasty counter-attacks from certain behaviors.
Players will also act in consequence. If you see they’ve stopped attacking for a moment, stop attacking as well. It would either mean invulnerability buff+ reflect, or that the part of the dungeon concerned obeys a particular mechanism. Then, try to figure it out by watching what other players do (the markers on the map also help in figuring that out).
If the group tend to stack in one place, join them and try not to stray away.
As long as you don’t make the group in danger with reckless behaviors, you’ll be fine and the group won’t kick you unless you end up in a rude group.
But it’s kind of easy to spot them out, they tend to be so hasty and don’t even bother when you greet them.
Then, don’t even bother to continue with them just find another group. There’s actually a lot of group with nice people in the lfg.

I must agree, my fractal “counter” is still short, but basically most groups I have encountered were helpful and friendly. And fractals (1-9) are pretty forgiving, and if you have doubts about certain boss mechanics, you can always check the GW2 wiki as well.
I have met one exception today, I have stumbled upon some online friends/guildies which were pretty toxic. They were hasty and they run most of the fractals pretty much different ways I have seen so far. Well they “awarded” me by kick on the last boss in the middle of the encounter. Just for fun.
Bunch of our guild guided a new guildie playing a lvl 34 mesmer through a lvl9 fractal just the other night. If you’re in EU, hit me up or keep an eye out for members of Balls of Superior Steel from Gandara. We’re a mixed bag of ppl who do things at random. Our leader and my fellow officers are always happy to guide a newbie through things. We’re not the fastest nor more efficient at things by any stretch of the imagination but we do it for fun.
If you do a LFG, be sure to put “Newbies” and you’ll attract other newbies and those who don’t mind helping instead of cranky pusses. Just be sure to listen to instructions if given, especially if you get the Reactor fractal.
Forever known as “that slow guardian who can’t jump worth crap”.
