No challenge for HC players
er only 28 in FOTM? I thought progressing through that was your “HC content”
Yes only 28…U have 9 different fractal pieces(dungeons).Doing that same 9 over and over and over cannot really be succesfull endgame.Can it?
I kind of agree… there’s no REAL challenge for the group because it’s hard to design challenges for groups of 5 people without the “holy trinity” group dynamic. The fact that aggro changes so often and whatnot means that pretty much any mob can’t 1-shot a squishy dps character without people raging.
I dunno what kind of challenges they can add to the game but personally I’d like to see more interesting boss mechanics that take timing or skill or group coordination to win instead of just “pointy end goes in the boss” and “dodge when the boss does this animation” which is what 90% of boss fights in the game are.
1-9 no agony
10-19 with 5 ar u are ok lets say that u paid money to get the back without any ring (10 agony res + 2 rings till u get 19 )= 20ar
20-29 u will get 30ar u will be safe
30-39 same
ok now lets say u will go to 40+ do u even know that without skill u aint make not even jellyfish be serious
I don’t know but as a person who run pug for money I really don’t like the idea for making dungeon harder.
If they want to make dungeon harder, force us to do premade group. Do progression dungeon with timer so we are forced to do premade with them. Sort of like 5 man raiding.
Another problem I see in this game is people only do dungeon for money. And when you make the dungeon harder, people just don’t do them. Since it is more profitable to do “other” dungeon or “other” things.

Ya dude I second all these other gienueses. you should be kittening over level 9000 in the only place that can be remotely chellanging (fotm) before you cry aboot no hardcore content!!

I have 30 AR.I did not pay for anything and i have infused fractal capacitor.I grinded for 500 globs.It is not hard.
Only reason i am not over 28 yet is because i am waiting for my guildies to get on that level because pugs are absolute failure after level 20.But people lose interest when they have to do same dungeon for like 100 times.
FOTM beeing only hardcore content is not enough because people relly get tired of them fast.
I am not saying they should make dungeons harder.I know that people not familiar with the game yet wont be able to do them then.
I am simply asking when will we get content enough challenging for people that already have anything they want.FOTM dont give me anything even when i get to lvl 40,50.I can only brag about i got there.
U will notice when u get on level 80 and collect everything there is to collect(if u are not there yet) what i mean with this post.At the moment u can do 2 thing…Grind for legendary which is not interesting just time consuming or make another character and do all over again.
Endgame is 2 repeatative.fractals,fractals,fractals,fractals.It is fun.But is that everything there is?And is it enought for all the poeple like myself?
They will have to add something sonner or later.I just hope it will be sooner because there are more and more people like me everyday.
The question was what will they add and when approx.?
GW2 comunity divides in begginers(people that just started the game),intermediate (people half way that already know what to do in dungeons and know how to really handle their class) and veterans (people that have almost everything there is to have,done everything,everywhere and play for a long time now)
Atm they are focusing on the first 2 groups with the patchs…Making dungeons bit easyer and fixing bugs n stuff.I think very soon they will have to manage the third group and make something really great for them to enjoy as a group.Something new and challenging.That is what I and many like me miss in the game at the moment
Yeah, there certainly needs to be some “glue” for guilds. Currently they serve no purpose aside from being an extra LFG channel.
Doing Fractals over and over and over and over again isn’t fun either especially since all that changes is Agony and mob damage.

Hi.I have been playing GW2 for a while now as a necromancer and i have maxed out my gear.Im missing out only the ascended amulet.Also i am level 28 in Fotm.
I no longer have any use of dungeons but i do some on daily bases for my guild mates that need the gear.
Instead i do wvw and some spvp.But in the end we get some servers in wvw that are not worth fighting…We conquer entire world…so it is not fun at all.
My question is are u going to add any hardcore dungeon or any other content that will satisfy all those people with high end gear?
Since dungeons as they are now are kinda 2 easy for us….
Most of my guild got dungeon master in the hard mode of the dungeons before the patch.
If u are planing to get something for us can u specify will it be dungeon related and when approximately it will be added?TYVM

No hard mode… so it will just be a game for 10 yr old kids?all the time?nothing interesting for grown ups… kitten that would suck…but it is not really true,just look at the dungeons.they are hard mode unless u are fully exotic.now they just have to make something for us

Then no one is happy. Or the group known as a little above average, they must be happy. Because average and below are not and well above average are not. DDO has six levels of difficulty, I guessed they learned something along the way, no?

A race towards the bottom, aiming for the lowest common denominator, or whatever term you would like to use is a great game design philosophy. Anet’s fear of alienating casual players has hobbled content design in GW2 and I don’t see that changing any time soon.

Good thing you aren’t in charge of Anet, since you have no comprehension of what it takes to run a MMO.
An MMO is sustained by the PLAYERBASE. Not by its difficulty, not by its elites, and certainly not by people like you.
ANet wouldn’t alienate a large portion of their casual playerbase just to satisfy the 0.1% of the “HC” players. That just wouldn’t be logical.

There are surely more than 0.1% HC players. It feels like more than 10% of the active players on our server are far from casual.
This was not ment to be a rage zerg and skill grading or idk what all of this became…Only a question.
All those casual people will come to the point where HC players are.They will make something for us.It is the way the game continues…New dragons will rise.It is not question of will they do it…The question is when are they gonna turn on polishing the endgame and/or adding something new.
No inovative and fun content at max level in a really long time = People quiting the game.Luckily there isnt an mmo that will dethrone gw2 yet.That will change in a year.Then we will see.
I would love to see a hardcore mode added to the existing non fractal dungeons. Have the existing ones become ‘PuG Mode’ and some of the fights tuned down, rewards balanced where needed.
Then add a ‘Harcore Mode’ for more organised party’s with better rewards. Rather than nerfing so much of the existing content trying to please the pugs in stead just separate them so both the hardcore and the pugs can enjoy the content.
