No one doing dungeons anymore?
This has already been noted in quite a few other threads, so why a new one is needed, I do not know.
Nonetheless, vanilla GW2 is dead.
Dungeons are dead.
Fractals are seemingly dead.
PvE is a mindnumbing zergfest.
Raids are nothing more than a sequence of bossfights (fun ones though, gotta admit that).
Anet catered to the WoW crowd.
You can like it or you can leave.
Apparently many seem to like it.
So i’m pretty new to the game and now just started to do dungeons and collect dungeon armor but no one does dungeons anymore. LFG is always empty.
What dungeon are you playing, and are you on a different time zone than most on your server? Because aside from Crucible of Eternity, I’ll usually see a few groups open looking for more people. And to the other posters comment about fractals.. Have you even checked LFG? There’s TONS of groups still running it, they are definitely NOT dead.
Dungeons are dead, intentionally killed by Anet (66% nerf to gold gain, a nerf to experience gain — not sure the % but I’d guess about the same). Fractals are a gold sink unless you are doing only the dailies, and plenty of people do those if you’d like to get in on them.
Some people still do dungeons for fun, but a lot fewer by cause of reward nerf.
And nowadays many of these people are busy trying the raid.
If you just want the dungeon tokens, you could also do PvP.
Fractals are far from dead. Scales 1 – 50 are consistently active, not sure about the others as my personal reward scale isn’t any higher. They’re not a gold sink either, you don’t have to spend a single copper unless you’re the type that just has to open all of the boxes at once. It’s easy enough to go through them gradually as you do get a few free keys from dailies, or just sell ’em on the TP for a modest profit.
I agree that dungeons are in a really bad place though. You will find a few listings for some of the more popular dungeons, but be prepared to farm a few PvP reward tracks to fill in the gaps.
If you are collecting dungeon armor and weapons, it might be easier to do it via PvP now. I presume that was part of the plan — kill all the rewards so people won’t do dungeons “normally” and hope everyone goes into PvP and picks dungeon reward tracks that give tokens and weapons
