Endgame does not mean hard but a way to make progress after you’ve hit max level, and it is ok for that to be challenging.

To that end, you should have the endgame content i.e. fractals, be tough and not allow one to res back in — oh wait, it already was that way.

But there are people who got this game in September and are only level 35 now, just trying out an explorable dungeon because people were calling for more. They were excited they could join… don’t spoil that excitement and feeling of adventuring with others and being a contributor!!!!!

Arenanet, don’t you want all these casuals who jumped on your game to also buy the first expansion, if not all of them? Keep them playing, put challenges for the hardcore minded elsewhere, or ESO is just gonna take the wind from your sails…

Easy end game to implement – another difficulty of dungeons. Each explorable mode dungeon now has a “hard” setting, where you cannot revive. If you complete all paths, you get access to a very difficult boss, which, upon killing, has a chest with 20% chance of an ascended ring, and 10% chance in the future to drop a component to craft ascended armor. Bingo, easy as that! That and fractals will keep people busy for a long time.

Dungeons were meant to be ran through with some coordination, of course in the beginning you expect to die since you don’t know the mechanics or are still figuring out your class/build/gear. I always felt more comfortable running dungeons with 1-2 Guildies since having VOIP.

Though pugging can be difficult since you cannot assume everybody knows all the mechanics – a little communication before major fights like “everybody know this part?” etc can help.

I’m sure everyone here had good experience with PUGS and some bad experiences with PUGS but more importantly communication was the key that made that experience either great or painful.

For people that want to get into dungeons, learn the dungeons mechanics like we all did in the beginning, watch some youtube videos, study the pattern of enemies – can it be CC’ed now(defiant stacks etc), when do I dodge, will this stun breaker help – is an all signet build good for my team or will this banner/shout/healing help instead etc.

I wonder how it will be for the last survivor of a group, they will be trying hard to res the others but the others will be encouraging the survivor to commit suicide so they can all get back into the action.

I know this change is to encourage a better play style with teamwork which is great, but it also encourages the sale of res orb or as I call it, cheating pay to win tactic. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out in the next couple of months.

By th way CoF path 2 is awesome now. It really isnt that difficult either. I did it in a PuG with 2 thieves, 2 eles and a necro. We whooped kitten it was so much fun.

Well done ANET. Congratulations from scaring most casuals (5 in my guild that wont enter dungeons besides fractals again until this, in my opinion too, bad change gets changed back) away from the dungeons. Its a good thing to make things harder, but why dont you just add a Hard Mode to dungeons then like in gw1? People that want to know the storylines of all pathes and ofc, the storylines are basically screwed if they are not top notch players in certain dungeons.

Check gw2lfg and the amount of people that can be found for any dungeon runs. Basically theres 3/4th less then yesterday. Well done and good bye relaxed pug dungeons runs~
Guess ill have to annoy the guildies that have faster reflexes rather then the 50 year old nice guy i prefer to play with

Im done with this, ill just end my project “get to know all storylines and pathes with guildies”(i actually like to play with) – thank you ANET again

One possible solution could be to have the option to pick up defeated players in combat – maybe as a second pressing of F after you start reviving. This would allow one player to pick up another player, carry them to a safe location, and then put them back down and resume reviving.

I would like to see this even if it is just to see their solution to an asura carrying a norn. :p

Have you ever USED one of those? The orbs are pretty awful, only a tiny bit better than the killstreak booster. I’ve used a couple since I got them from the black lion chests/PS reward. The speed is about the same as someone trying to res you while in combat but after you are ressed there is a debuff that makes you move very slowly(seems similar to when you are encumbered) and you have 1 HP.

People who only do dungeons with VOIP with their level 80 guildmates with full exotic and ascended gear sit on their high horse and tell everyone else the level 35 dungeon they have personally done 30 or more times is “easy” and are baffled why anyone would say its hard. I’ve never been part of an MMO community that was so out of touch.

You don’t need VOIP to not wipe. You just need people that doesn’t try to faceroll through everything then cry about it when that stopped working.

Go use a Res Orb first. It basically summons an NPC to res you. Yes, it’s slower than having someone in your group res you. When you are ressed you have 1 HP and move at about 50% movement speed for 10 seconds.

It’s as good of an idea as face rolling Lupi.
