I was doing my Level 20 daily as such and hoping for a Ring or so. As usual, I get squat! That’s another issue to share in another thread however.

On the other hand, one of my teammates somehow obtained a non-infused ring at this difficulty level; which is the actual reason why I started this thread. Is that intended? I thought only non-infused rings dropped in the Level 10’s tier while infused rings dropped at 20+ … ?

If it’s intended to have non-infused rings drop in the 20’s bracket as well … boy, progression is going to get rough at this point.

Yes, it’s intended for you to grind. Do 200 more runs and maybe you will get one too.

yeah nobody cares about that honestly man. Its your own choice, if you want to play the game, then go play the game. No one is stopping you from exploring and seeing all the rest that the game has to offer. Id do this thing once a day..hit up 10,20,30 and then go play the game. If you’re sitting there grinding it out all the time for mats, then that is your choice to do so.

its a reward from doing the daily fractal at 20+, why would you do 200 more runs in less than 200 days if that is your goal?

no, i care enough to respond to the sentiment, not your attempt to garner attention through quitting. I have 4 80’s, a few rings, plenty of ascended junk to make a backpack out of and fractals. I play fractals because I enjoy it, when I dont, I stop.

Ditton’s right, actually – there’s loads upon loads to do in the game, even if you’re not into PvP at all. Fractals is just one last addition on top of it, not the new and only thing to do.

You wouldn’t say the same if the fractal level system was like that : each time you get back to the hub, you got 50% chance to unlock the next level. If not you need to repeat it. And just to be perverse, the chance is per player, not for the whole group.

The way ascended rings are given is kind of like that.

The chance of getting a precursor from forge is like that. The chance of getting an exotic drop is like that (even lower). The chance of getting Abyss dye is like that. The chance of landing 2 crit hits in a row is like that.
I could go on like that.

You can buy a precursor off tp. You can get exotics you need from dungeons (no rng). You can buy Abyss if you really want it. You can go for a different build than crits.
And so on.

If you really must get the ascended rings now, then go ahead and farm them.
You can also wait for an update that will make ascended items easier to get all across the game – and such an update is coming.

If you enjoy grinding FotM, do so!
If you don’t, do FotM when you feel like it and then do anything else you find enjoyable at the moment – get into sPvP, play some W3, do dungeons, explore the map, get achievements for jumping puzzles, prepare a guide for the community, fraps videos, organise social events for your server, organise a costume brawl event (you will surely find several people with the witch outfit willing to help you)… and more.
If you find nothing of the above fun or rewarding, it’s time to change the game.

I doubt it too. Was there any change to make anything easier to get in this game? There were those bags with 3 tokens, anything more?

Yes, dungeons only used to give 30 tokens on first run per path per day. 20 every time after.

The question is not making it easier. There is nothing challenging about opening a box with a “chance” to get something in it. This is kitten not challenging. Design philosophies like these belong in a garbage bin.

no I wouldnt. I dont have a precursor, abyss nor celestial dye, I dont have the rare drops that are popping up from other dungeons. I dont have alot of rng things..Im working towards a few. I just play when I want and stop when I dont, stuff accumulates through time.
