Once uppon a time ... RAID
Not everyone will resort to such pseudo-knowledge of the game. Ignore, and find a better group, as that one had already pre-disposed itself to failure and had found themselves the necessary scapegoat. Needless to say, not the most appropriate comment nor one to blindly believe in.
I do hate the childish finger-pointing in this game-and in real life for that matter-that humans tend to resort to when things don’t go as well as desired. They must always find a sort of “weak link”-in OTHERS, at that-rather than seeing through other possibilities.
He’s not wrong.
There’s a raid in sPvP?
Thats sort of ridiculous when you can deal 35k ish damage in 2 seconds with staff auto attack but yea the most fun part is that these guys invited me to their guild so why do they invite someone to their guild if this guy is useless i don’t get it

Lol no only PVE
Another reason why we need damage meters. At least people will be semi informed about how useful certain specs are.
Right now it’s all hearsay and wildly inaccurate or based on speadsheet math which fails to simulate real raid conditions.
A lot of what raid groups are currently looking for is utility which comes with dps. Chrono brings quickness and alacrity. Herald brings boon sharing. Berserker brings boon sharing. Condi engi brings healing (through turret) and knockbacks. Druid brings cc and some damage/condi along with healing. When tempest is brought, it is for the excellent ranged damage. Some people have found ways to make other classes fit into roles where it’s not a huge loss (or an improvement) but in general, reaper, dh, dd, etc don’t bring as much to the raid.
That being said, there’s always a way around things, it just might involve more work. I’ve heard of teams of necros using epidemic quite effectively on the second boss. Daredevil tanks. DH tanks. Etc.
