Operative Brie solo as Guard
and common sense.
Don’t feel like it’s really this hard :

The whole first part is all about bursting, all profession can phase him (except maybe the mesmer for whom shatters and phantasm are still useless in this fight)
Bursting is doable and the only way to do it now, unless you want to bug it (console breaks but you dont get teleported) with the specialization patch all you need is a near perfect rotation with full ascended, mortar kit helps but is not necessary to take some aggro. Ill post a video later
The method dadnir posted doesnt work anymore since the stability nerf.

got no mortar kit
Edit: The guard in this vid got so much invlunerability, how?
and common sense.

If you get her to 50% The mobs start to spawn so you could just kill the three waves of mobs before returning to bashing Brie, only 3 waves will spawn after 50%

With the stabilty nerf and perma daze from inquest this is not possible anymore, they strip your 5-8 stack of stability in 1 second. The only way to it now is killing before they break the console, ignore the wave and juat focus on the boss.

I did it last week? The inquest kept stunning grubs so I killed them first. Maybe I got lucky or something

That’s great, the last 5-6 time I tried, the inquest would just turn and start targeting me, but maybe I was being unlucky xD. I found it was much reliable for me to burst her down, with the nice solo dps increase we gained with spec patch, its pretty reliable.
So there’s a chance you can kill mobs basically! Basically everything in this game is RNG so who knows

Can you post your build? Are you refering to scepter solo might op?
and common sense.
Place a Mortar Kit consumable at the ramp. “Wait” to phase Brie until the aboms from the first wave that despawns detonate on it. You won’t have to deal with any inquest techs.
If you don’t do that, it’s still trivially easy to solo it while killing the waves, even with the stability changes. It’s just complete and total AIDS.
Is there a specific oneshot build for the last boss you are using?
Atm I’m trying by killing the waves, I stacked a huge army of worms at the ramp to aggro the stunners, it worked and I died to the boss after I killed all waves, hm next try I guess, army still standing and ready.
Edit: The boss bugs out in a bad way doing this tho (after killing all adds), he gives you the (de)buff, that you can attack him, only for 50 seconds instead of 22 hours (the one she also has, you need two), so you have to wait 1:30 minutes until your other (de)buff turns out, get your (de)buffs fresh from the statue, go in for 50 seconds and rinse and repeat, very inefficient.
In addition to this, her health did reset to 100% after killing all adds, she didn’t do that the first time tho.
Very buggy encounter. In a bad way.
Typing this while doing her.
and common sense.

Don’t run too far away from the boss. That is what causes her to reset.
Phase her to 50% after activating the panel the first time, before you run away and deal with any adds. This will prevent the second issue you’re talking about.

Although it’s definitely not the only method, I’d still love to see a vid about the faster burst method, at best with the build included.
You’d have my like.

I’ll be uploading it tonight, pretty sure I have a couple of them recorded.
If your plan is to kill adds before finishing off Brie, definitely go buy some mortar kits. Whoever thought of using them to catch the inquest technicians: genius. Anyone know what that was, by the way?
If you want to do it faster, but with less pressure, you can hit Brie until the first (real) wave comes. Aggro the berserkers and pull them to Brie. Cleave them to death while you kill Brie. This gives you more time to finish Brie and is a good compromise between killing all the adds versus killing Brie in one sitting.
