For some of us the monday works fine as it is.
For some others this is a problematic time, as it’s the start of the working week, which means by the time it’s friday, and working class people have time, it’s harder to get a group together as a lot of people will have done the easier raids already.

As a result, I’d propose a poll to see if there’s an overwhelming majority who’d like to see the reset moved to friday.

Please share your thoughts on the matter, and whatever, keep it civil, this is only about the reset time, not about the content of raids.

I’d like to specify that if you vote monday, you mean that you actively want monday, it doesn’t mean the same as “it doesn’t matter to me”

Actually not a bad idea. That means there is a full weekend where everyone needs everything.

sad to see the monday is getting such a heavy increment :/ but I’ll accept whatever the majority chooses

Just food for thought, there are lots of static groups who im sure raid on weekends and need people. Im sure most people have better plans for the weekend than raiding though.

in retrospect, don’t people have school and work during the working week. Static groups aren’t quite as flexible as you might hope them to be. They usually don’t want to hassle with LFG so when they have to, they usually don’t ask for less than 150LI

I work full time 10hr days and manage to raid monday nights. Its a few hours a week whether its a monday, wednesday or a saturday. Ill gurantee you there is a static group out there looking for weeekend teams. Lfgs for raids also happen frequently on the weekend(not as much as monday but enough anyhow). Is wasting your saturday night raiding instead of enjoying a nice night out really worth it anyways?

People seem to have different opinions and preferences in the end.
Although I work long hours myself, greatly prefer to raid on Mondays or Tuesdays, to keep my weekends open to spend time with friends and family or leave room for any other activities.
However, my raids have always been runs with static groups. Meaning they have a set schedule and predictable length. Not sure how I’d feel if I had to pug raids mostly.

Is it to make sure that those whom do not have the possibility to play during weekday evenings(I’d estimate this to be a minority of active raiders) to have more opportunities to find LFG groups?

It seems kinda pointless to me, and youre better off finding a guild or static that raid on weekends. There is quite a bunch of them

For my personal experience, I have a raid group now, RTI. But raids are still few inbetween, I only have just gotten my 18th LI. With that it’s impossible to pug even though I can tell from experience I’m better than the average pug. The reason I want to advocate the push, is because if the reset takes place on a friday, then people who raid in the evenings can still do it then, if they prefer monday, with their own groups, they can still raid on monday as that won’t change at all. But there will be a slight shift from monday-wednesday activity to friday-sunday when it comes to the more lenient, and in general number of parties in LFG. Right now, the static groups who haven’t finished their raids by the weekend, are usually stuck on the more difficult bosses. It’s almost impossible to still find easy raid groups like VG, Gorseval, Trio or Escort in the weekend as most people do those first.

The current system allows for people to teach or run whatever raids they need on the weekends as the ‘hardcore’ rush the raids on Monday/Tuesday. There’s far more people on the weekend so even though it’s end of the week, it’s still possible to get clears.

If you move it to weekend resets then people rush to get their clears in (Sat/Sun) and it becomes substantially harder to form a 10 man group mid week since it’s both weekdays AND people already cleared.

I mean whenever the reset is doesn’t bother me at all, it’s just I see very little benefit moving the time and actually some downsides.

Also “Friday night” NA is basically WvW reset which again brings up the issue of clashing with WvW reset. I know not many people play both but there’s still some and it’d kinda suck to have to pick between reset raids in WvW or PvE.

This has been brought up before with the dev response being, no change is likely to occur.

I doubt that view has changed.

Also: there is no time that universally works for people, in a game played literally around the entire world.

During the week, I have less time to waste. Thus I like to have as many options open to me for what bosses I want to kill. Whether it’s with a static or pug, I want to get into a raid quickly and kill lots of things without worrying about getting a specific boss.

On the weekends I usually only have one or two bosses left. This works well because I can afford to wait around not doing much for 3 hours looking for that one boss on a weekend.

If it was the other way around, I would probably raid a lot less during the week because I wouldn’t be willing to spend my time waiting for a group.

Pretty sure this has been raised previously.. I do prefer it to be during weekends but ofc it will affect some ppl / students that work on weekends etc. It’s hard to please one and not another. Pretty sure there’s a dev response on this matter previously.

These are all personal issue though. You cant cater to one group without leaving behind another. What about the folks that work fri sat or sunday? This is a pointless thread, get a guild group to run on the weekends with.

As someone who works I still prefer monday. It’s not so crazy difficult to keep my evening mostly free for raids. I mean all 4 wings is like 2h-2h30 which isn’t a huge amount of time. Friday evening on the other hand is problematic at times, since you know, social life…
