We all know (or should know) that DR affects characters parked at Dragon encounters. This means that a character that doesn nothing but fight the Dragon, will get little to no drops. I was wondering now, does this DR apply to dungeon runs as well?

I’m leveling many new characters so I’m not playing my old characters at all, but I do run Fractals and Arah (and other dungeons) with my old characters, you can say I have my high level characters “parked” for dungeons. Does this affect drops and incur DR? I would really like to have an official response on this.

I’m making this post because lately I’m getting next to nothing when I play my Guardian, either running Arah, Crucible of Eternity or Fractals of the Mists runs, and it is driving me crazy. Not a single exotic dropped after countless runs, I didn’t get a single ring in Fractals, I’ve lost count of 20+ and 10+ runs I did lately, and all this with a “parked” character.

Anyone else noticed something similar?

Isn’t punishing player for playing the game great? Sounds fair to me.

Parking characters and doing nothing else besides 1 event isn’t “playing the game” on that character. The game is a multitude of things, not 1 dragon.

I have parked my alts in CoF fireheart rise and did 3 runs of the same path, each on alts, 60 tokens each time. It does DR you eventually though (Maybe 4-6+ Runs I dont know exactly) and you get 30 tokens/13s

I agree about the dragons, it’s not “playing the game” I was wondering if the same DR applies to dungeons… The token DR and the loot DR is the same? Because yes you can get 60 tokens per character but what about the other drops?

“Playing the game” is not a criteria. It is not your authority to decide.

If something can not be exists there should be a system to prevent it, like teleport to LA or NPCs that say "you must do … before … ". If game allows players go offline and then login any time, he MUST NOT be punished for doing it. Period.

It is not about events it is about everything. If you dont want people to kill mobs – don’t spawn them. If you don’t want to let people to mine mithril – don’t place so much nodes or remove it from recipes etc. Don’t remove them from all maps while others can continue farm it.
