I swear if everyone in your party has one, your tours will be shorter by a whole half a hour! Considering that AC 1-3,CM1-3,TA U/F, SE 1-3, CoF 1, coe, arah takes about 3hours for most speed runners, and considering how often one actually spends DPSing in dungeons, that is over 100%“DPS” increase, just throwing it out there. Troll face.

No it was just a shower thought that arised from all the healer guardian debate. If all 5 of my teammates has perma merchant and the guardian is a 0dps healer guardian, would I want to trade that guardian for a berserker guardian who has no perma merchant? The answer is I want that healer guardian!

I’ve been thinking hard about splurging on this and the permanent hair kit. It is true that it cuts a lot of time for vendor and even salvaging. Almost all the members in my tour group have it, so they move at lightning speed through everything :o

Im saving for the hair kit. But it looks like that will take longer due to the shadow weapon skins. :P

Just find merchants off to the side for dungeons when you’ve got a time gated beginning like AC or CM. If you’re not the one opening, just port to a waypoint with a merchant and sell/buy real quick. The time difference is negligible.

AC and CM are the first dungeons. You dont need a merch while doing them. Especially as CM has one right outside the gate. The problem is after that.

You want to merch while a path is active(during time gates) otherwise it is severely slowing down the tour(at least in my experience where there has been times where it takes 5mins to start a path because of people merching)

Quite honestly you guys must be very serious dungeon farmer if there is absolutely no downtime. Most of the times, there are people going afk for phones, doors, moms, dogs, or bathroom.

:-\ That is a lot of gold lost of if you just copperfed(probably ~3gold over the whole tour.) That perma merch basically pays for itself in 3months if you tour everyday.

Ive only done about 3 full dungeon tours ever. And they were during the last few weeks. So its not really a problem for me. :P

Most of the people in my tour are either extremely busy or pretty tired by the end of the day. If we cram our usual rotation of CM x3p, TA x2p, SE x2p, AC x3p, Arah x4p, HotW x 3p, CoF, CoE x2p within 3 or 4 hours in the evening then we need to cut the time somewhere. More often than not, people do not come back after break and it is a hassle to look for a fill-in. I usually do half of the tour and then go to PvP or fractals, so I hate to drag down people with my clumsy inventory management. My bag is always full after every two paths or so :\

do people even sell leather etc? It’s just pocket change to me.

I just salvage everything to be honest.

I actually have 2 permanent merchant myself. The price havn’t varied much on the TP over the years, I think the reason is you really only need 1 of this item.

The permanent bank is going up in price though, I think maybe due to the new class. I actually just bought a permanent bank a month ago because of revenant.

Ehh I just have alts, each dungeon gets a fresh inventory! :b

What about just dumping it all on the TP during time gates?

TP is too slow and you get TP suppression after a certain point.

Pretty much salvage light armors and rares that are not daggers, staves, greatswords and swords and rest blues and greens to vendor and the aforementioned rares to TP.

Nobody has mentioned how you can troll party members with them. Honestly, permanent merchant express is the best item in the whole game. TP one has use too, just the banker one seems largely useless to me.

At the end of the burrows in The Lovers’ Crypt I often stand where the chest will spawn and say “I’ll stack swiftness”. Anybody who wasn’t standing there already is only about 50% likely to move closer. Pop a merchant however…

Ya, all my chars are parking in HotM now. More than often I don’t realize that their inventory is already half full with boxes until I set foot in the instance.
