Q:
Personal reward level in fractals
A:
If you have time for only one run, make it an even so you get the daily chest. If you can afford the time for multiple runs and/or already have your daily, run odds to expedite the process.
My concern is: If my personal reward level is 11, when I do a lvl 12 fractal, will I still get the pristine relic / chance of ascended ring from the maw chest? I’ve noticed that when I bring a sub-lvl 10 guildie on a lvl 10 run, they don’t get pristine relics, so would I be putting myself in the same boat?
Yes, you will. You are rewarded at the level that is the minimum of your personal reward level and the fractal level. So if you bring a guildie who is L6 to a L12, he will be rewarded as an L6 (no pristine relic or chance at ring). If you run a L12 as a L11, you will be rewarded as an L11, which is still high enough for a pristine relic and a chance at an uninfused ring. Note that your personal reward level also denotes the chance at goodies and number of relics from chests of individual fractals.

You’d be fine and get the pristine relic + chance for a ring. Only if your personal reward level is under 10, you don’t get those.
If you do an even-level fractal higher than your own, you will still get a daily reward chest, but of your personal highest even-level.
In short, yes you will get the pristine relic and a chance for ascended ring.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it!
AR 15 should be good enough for lvl 20 right?
I ran until Fractal level 28 with 0 AR (never looted a ring / hadn’t enough relics for back piece). You will die at Maw if you play like me, but every other source of Agony in FotM is dodgeable with good practice. With 15 AR you are probably over-prepared. :P
