For starters, Guild wars 2 is a great game. They have a large fan base of supporters and people who are trying to help voice their opinions to make the game better. Since the patch “nerfing” CoF and other dungeons, the supportive fan base is diminishing. Now, what I have been noticing about the people who are for the “nerf” they are either:

1.) Not high enough level to even experience the content
or
2.) In support of you making the dungeons harder so people can’t get exotics in a week.

As a person who was initially against the update I can say it’s not the difficulty of the dungeon that people are really complaining about. Some parts are a ‘bit ridiculous however, players will learn other ways to strategize and beat said obstacles. The main complaint we have here are the rewards. Yes the dungeons should be harder, yes they should be longer, but the effort we put into them is not rewarding enough.

You could argue "oh, play the game for fun, if you’re not doing that then you’re not playing thee game right." Again, who is to tell me what is the right or wrong way to play a game. It’s not bug abusing, it’s not hurting anybody. It’s simply playing the game how I want to play it. I prefer getting things done fast, efficiently and moving on to the next one. I’ve had other say to me “Well, if you didn’t get to level 80 in a week then you would have more to do.” Which is not entirely true. Sure, it would have taken up more time being longer, but once all the casual gamers and stragglers reach level 80, they’ll be in the same situation everybody else is.

My suggestions:
- Keep making the dungeons more challenging (challenging doesn’t always mean longer)

- Don’t tell players that running one dungeon over and over is “the wrong way to play, you have to experience all the content.” This is untrue, personally, I liked CoF because the armor looks better than the other dungeons, and since I became good at helping Maggs, I continued to do it. There was no grind involved because I was enjoying what I was doing.

- Make repairs inside the dungeon free or cost karma, or return the player’s money after they kill the boss. This will eliminate the complaints about armor repairs and there won’t be a way to get free armor repairs just by walking in a dungeon.

- Beef up the rewards! After spending a half hour in nerve wracking combat, killing the most fearsome bosses, bonding together to defeat a dungeon, we should have something we can look forward to getting at the end. Especially with all the deaths, complications and bugs we have to endure.

My last, but probably least favorable option:

-Don’t allow us to choose what option we have to run through the dungeon. Just throw us in there with the NPC’s and have them explain what’s going on. It would eliminate the “problem” of people running the same dungeon over and over. (although I see nothing wrong with it.)

You do get your money back when you finish the dungeon and some money left over.

It is called Dungeon rewards. You get about 20 silver for it.

5x Warrior, 5x Ranger, 4x Elementalist, 4x Engineer,
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
