I really wish you wouldn’t say things like this because I just ran HOTW explorable and the Aldus fight has been changed dramatically.

Aldus Stormbringer
In a long room giving a speech to the large group of non-elite Svanir in the room. He is also very easy, he puts frost AoE on the ground that does damage to everyone inside. He throws ice projectiles out to everyone in the room (can be blocked) and spawns small frost AoE on the sides of the room (almost constantly). He gives a chest as well.

…was as we all know how it “used” to go down.
Now this named seems to :

A. spawn waves of elite mobs ( 2 melee/2 ranged) that are hard as all hell to manage without kiting them out of the room entirely. ( is this, have half the group not even “in” the fight some form of new groundbreaking mechanic, if so I’t feels very gimmicky)

B. If you manage to down some waves, they just keep coming. If the waves do finish at some point it is not before 3, because that’s how far we made it before the group fell apart. (also at one point 2 extra elites spawned, making a total of 2 ranged and 4 Jotun “Garens” Demacia-ing everyone face off.)

C. All of this is going on while some people ( I’m assuming 2-3 on named/ 2-3 on adds) are attempting to burn the named and not get kitten by the adds when they decide to (yes this happens -2 times for us) magically port back to their initial spawn point w/ full bars of hp and proceed to sodomize the dps on the named.

D. After attempting this with 2 separate groups and getting Aldus to 50% before he reset when we wiped, I was pretty confident this was completely intentional.

Needless to say, I’m all for a challenge but when you have this and a few other dungeons that you enjoy running because they aren’t bugged to all hell or just 3-4 hours long; it really just sours the pot to not even include in the patch notes that the encounters were changed so that when I finally get a group who wants to run all 3 paths 2 of them don’t get totally demoralized by wiping several times and go back to RL responsibilities.

I really enjoy your game and for some odd reason MMO’s always seems to get released totally kittened up and un-finished, so its to be expected at this point in my gaming life. I appreciate all the hard work you guys do, all I’m asking is that if you take the time to make some changes to game content, would it be so hard to take some notes at that same time, and post them w/ patch notes…

This is unlikely, since keeping certain information from the community regarding whats been patched is an anti bot measure + it slows down bug abusers/exploiters. If you dont really know whats been altered, and how. You cant really bot + exploit the changes;)

I think Anet only releases the big update patch notes + a vague update of anything thats been altered somewhere just like any other big MMO.

He’s SUPPOSED to spawn adds. Him not spawning adds is a common bug that has been around for a while.

And they might not have fixed it. You could’ve just gotten unlucky.
