I’ve hit level 14 on the FOTM and still just don’t see any real point to keep grinding it.. Especially to the level 80 Fractals. Is there something that happens afterwards or something?
Right now it just seems to be the same thing over and over again.. 3 Dungeons and the Jade Maw. The only rewards I am even interested in are the ascended rings bc it’s cheaper than laurel.

Are fractals worth doing? I’m still fairly new to GW2 so I have no clue really..

I really don’t know whether it’s worth or not. Above 40s, the mob hits harder and mostly 1 hit kills so it’s a challenge to play if you are into melee all things at certain fractals. Other than that, the rewards are not worth anything. The so called “prestigious” skins you got at 40s are the same thing at 20s, which many coordinated group could just sleep walked easily.

The point of fractals is to create an elusive long-term goal to keep suckers like me occupied with the game and grind for that complete fractal weapon skin set, until months afterwards they realize they have long stopped enjoy playing gw2, and their logging in and completing dailies are just habit.

The point of level 80 fractals is to create a bragging right, besides a few others like solo-ing x boss/dungeon, for those who want to lord over the plebs in this game of everything being equal. You can win almost any kitten measuring contest and make legendary-wielders feel as common as dirt just by mentioning you have fractal personal level 80/having done volcanic shaman 79 multiple times.

Oh and btw I have fractal personal 80 and have done shaman 79 multiple times.

The point of fractals is to give the illusion of content by making you do the same thing over and over for rng.

i have a question… it is possible from lvl 50 untill 80 or less do the equal lvl? or jade maw is impossible to do? and if is possible u just need to stack regen and healing or other tips?

At level 50 and above Maw deals 1172% of your health per second second, and it gets reapplied.
Only way to reach 80 is to have someone open uneven levels which means that the rewards you get at 70+… well better do level 10 or something.

might as well do level 2 if you don’t care about the pristines…. but then there is nothing else worth farming so in that case don’t do it at all unless for lolz

well fractals are a good training ground on teaching us game mechanics which are a little bit advanced than the normal spam your skills. it also allows us to get good ascended gear of which are back piece and rings. other than that, good weapon skins are always available and if you think everything is too easy, you just amp the level.

Its suppose to be end game content. After doing it so many times you end up finding it easier then Arah.

Yep, fotm at lvl 10 is easier than Arah.

I find that they give better loot overall compared to the normal dungeons. Once you get past reward lvl 10, you’re picking a whole lot more greens in one run than a whole day of regular dungeon running. Also a very nice chest at the end too.

That’s the droprate I wish I could have when running normal dungeons. Not a chest full of blues and a tonic that I’ll vendor without even reading the name.

Honest question. Do you think anyone cares or is impressed that you have a fractal level of 80? Is that why you did it? The bragging rights?

Back to the OP. I guess if you want a challenge, Fractals at high levels requires more precision play than the rest of the game. If that’s what you want, go for it. Don’t expect any exciting rewards as a result.

I’m actually pretty impressed. May as well throw my legendaries away now, this guy has me beat.

20 slot bags. You seen how much they are on trading post? I’m not sure what the point in getting up to level 50 is though, other than to be able to get 20 slot bags faster. But you could have just spent your tokens on 20 slot bags before then instead of getting more agony resist.

You can buy 18 slots bags for free in heart of the mists.

I can tell you from experience that these percentages are not even close to accurate. Its best just to say that the higher you go the better chance you have.
