Hi,

I am seething at the moment after logging on to find Arah, yet again, bugged. Or should I say, the DE chain that leads to the re-opening of the Arah gate bugged, yet again.

This has now been going on for some time. Claims of it being fixed numerous times have flown around, but time after time we are met with the same disappointment.

It is to the point now that we can only get to play it when there is a server reset. At the moment that is FAIRLY often due to the acts in the Halloween event. After that though, we are back to a long weeks wait to be able to run it that whole once before it is bugged again.

I have asked and asked and asked about this issue and have always been met with silence. I find this frustrating but interesting as most issues get a response.

Are the game designers REALLY that stuck on this?

For the people who will inevitably start a post with ’it’s because your not doing the chain event properly or it’s not bugged you just don’t know how to start it’. Well, here is where my information partly comes from http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Defend_the_Gates_of_Arah.

Please, give the people who are trying for the set, or trying for the weapons or tokens for legendary to have just a tiny bit of a reason as to why now the Gates of Arah have been bugged for 99% of the past MONTH.

What’s bugged about the event? My guild has helped a lot if people through the event and on into the dungeon in the last 2 weeks.

I think it may be due to the server he’s on. Have not had event issues on mine but have heard they are rife on other servers.

I am not sure why it’s still not fixed (a temporairy fix just opening the door would have been nice), but to counter this it helps having a mesmer alt inside the gate.

Me and a friend brought his level mesmer alt to the gates and every time it bugs he logs in and teleports me inside after I have cleared the mobs around the entrance. This way we can do the dungeon at our own convenience till Anet gets a proper fix. I have also ran it with friends from other servers letting them enter which also works pretty well.

Probably not a good idea to put that on the forums Jakar. A-Net seems to be very on top of nerfing exploits but not so fast on fixing problems that force people to exploit to begin with.

They ll need to ban a lot of people if they do so, since I ve seen at least 100+ go past the gate easely and there are a lot worse things then us finding a creative way to do the dungeon we like. Transferring servers would be an option, but I like my current server so I dont feel like transferring just because this event is always bugged.

Oh I just meant they would find a way to stop you porting in when the gate is closed, forcing you to have to transfer because they would (obviously) prioritize doing that over fixing the actual problem. Doubtful they would ban you or anything, they’d just stop you from doing it and ignore you when you complain about having to move servers.

That would truely be a strange way of customer support. I am still hoping for Anet to see that fixing the gate/event is the only way forward here. Untill that time I ll just be sending them the bug reports.

Logged on this morning to try and get in before bug again….too late. Bugged.

Logged on this morning and is still bugged. No response from PM’s, or here.

I’m confused as to how arenanet can’t find a permanent fix for these bugs.

The game isn’t broken, it’s you. Obviously you didn’t bring high enough dps and the gate denied you. [/sarcasm]

What’s actually happening here is that they are perma closing Arah until new content then will re-open it with bugs fixed and say that’s the new dungeon!

Logged in today after a few days away. Still bugged.

these bugs are extremely disappointing to encounter time and time again. its bugged on my server as well. the amount of bugs in this game is beyond mind boggling sometimes
