I apologize for double posting this but I just realized it might be better suited here.

Hi guys, I recently saw a video showing the importance of potions/foods/oils etc and the amount of DPS you can get from them.. Just the right food alone (not potions/oils) can raise your DPS anywhere from 5-10%.

It also discusses oils/potions and how getting the right one for various dungeons helps. I cant find the video again (forgot to favorite it) and so im here asking if anyone knows a link to a site that tells you which potions work on which fractal and fractal bosses..

example, dredge potion in the dredge fractal.. But which potion against Mai trin or which potion agains fire ele, or acalon etc etc…

Im sure somewhere theres a list and was hoping you can share it.. I did find some but they have a lot of question marks in them making me think there unsure as well..

Don’t use enemy specific potions as they’re currently bugged. A potion that says you take 10% less damage from a specific enemy types actually means you take 10% more instead.

A thread was created with a dev responding that they’d look into it when he got back into work. We’ve gotten no response since then and that was months ago.

This is true, but I would still use potions in dungeons because the dps gain is worthwhile. The extra damage you take is irrelevant when bosses all have 1HK attacks. In fractals I use Skale Venom since most challenges in fractals are trash mobs.

Only real oolie to remember, is that for Molten Alliance (either the regular fractal or the boss one), neither Flame Legion or Dredge slaying potions are effective, since MA are their own seperate faction.

You’re assuming people know the basics of damage mitigation though.

The game is a year and a half old, people should know.

Good to know on the +10% damage taken instead of the -10% it says, thanks for the info.

I still would use them since killing is more important then damage taken since most enemies hit hard in dungeons/fractals so I’d still use them when I could.

So is there really no link or page where wither wiki/anet or the regular joe made a list of fractals and which potions apply? Hard to believe with all the info and devoted players out there? Anyways, if anyone does know please link it or point me in the right direction.
