Promised Dungeon Updates vs New 2013 plan
Stop whining, we got quite a fair bit of a new information and the January blog + patch are coming by the end of next week!
who said patch at end of next week? it may be 2 weeks (there are 3 fridays left in the month and they always have done fri patches)

Stop fanboying, we got very little information and there’s no release date of the tiny January patch.
Given there’s been no (proper) update since mid December, I do hope this update will ba absolutely huge in improvements of existing content.
Still, I shouldn’t have that much faith. The only thing I don’t care about seeing “postponed” is the LFG tool since gw2lfg is nice, even if I agree there should be some (planned for June at worst :P).
Given they seem to release “big” patches on weekends, I also expect it to be at the end of next week.
Wait and see.
It would be nice to see more information in this area, along with some estimated times of arrival. I for one am at least excited for some of the things that they did mention in the new video/page but hoping to see them sooner rather than later :P

At OP, if you really expected a full workover of all the current dung beyond:
- adjustments of mobs HP, boss HP
- damage of some mobs
-frequency of knockdowns
- silver vs vet
- removal of some trash in longer paths
- reworking of some minor mechanics (5 torch in CoF p3 to 3 torches, adjusting the sparks at Simin (coming this patch))
- adjustment of drops (loot and potentially number of tokens in some longer paths to adjust for time investment difference)
- adjustment to some boss mechanics (add some, remove some bad ones, fix ones that are kinda broke)
- fixes to exploits like standing on stairs in AC, lightpost in Arah, and so on
then you were mislead by what they were going to do to adjust the dung to make them more evenly balanced. There is no way we would see patch that actually recreates each of the original dung… it would just takes too long and postpone any new content. What they are going to do is make adjustments from the list above mostly to even out the paths and dung and use the feedback and knowledge to make the next dung they release better and more inline with what we may want to see.
I just wish for new content.
Yeah, no. We need proper fixes to the currently existing content first, not the ham-fisted overkill “fixes” we’ve seen so far.
Koga:
Even the fixes you mentioned would be nice. Those would be inline with what they promised in the second post. A complete 8 dungeon overhaul may be a bit much, but actually would be easier for them to pull off than adding 40 new fractals, when you think about the scale of both projects. I still think they could make something better instead of the grindy, boring content of the current dungeons, especially if they can create 40 new fractals.
