This will be broken into two parts due to post restrictions and people who may or may not have ADD with reading something on the forums.
I previously made a thread called PuG Story Time: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/PuG-Story-Time-Some-people-can-t-learn/first#post2324398
I presumed in this above thread that I had seen the creme de la creme of just stupidness, but I was wrong. I would relive that Pug Story Time twice more if it meant that the party I was just in today would never show their faces in Fractals ever again. I’d relive it 3 times over if these people would simply delete their characters and quit GW2 entirely.
I need a good guild that likes to do different levels of fractals because I simply am at the level where I don’t even feel like I have fun with Fractals anymore, which is something I usually love playing.
I’ve tried to be positive, I’ve had good parties and I’ve had absolutely awful parties, but what I have just experienced takes the cake. The incident I am about to describe is the type of incident (at least, for me, personally) that for a split moment seriously makes you consider rage quitting.
Today, all I wanted was a simple 28 to finish my daily. That’s it.
I had a really, really bad day today for personal reasons and all I wanted to do was have a peaceful session of Guild Wars 2 closing my horrible night, getting my daily done.
And so, I found a party for 28, and I spent a considerable chunk of my night dedicated to it.
During our second fractal, we rolled the Asuran Fractal. This is where I noticed something strange with someone; someone had summoned a golem. I thought to look for any other Asuras in the party other than myself who may have accidentally popped a wrong elite skill, but couldn’t find any. I thought it was bizarre, but I never really considered it a big deal. In hindsight, I wish I had said something about how unusual it was as I probably would have avoided the unbelievably shafted/stupid situation I was about to find myself in.
The Asuran Fractal alone took most likely an hour because heading towards the Raving Asura, everyone wanted to just bypass the last 4 harpies instead of killing them, resulting in massive deaths for everyone trying to pass inwards. Eventually we made it through, and I was moderately annoyed with them for this. However, we’re almost out so I bite the bullet.
Then, Grawl came up. This is where it my hopefulness for a relaxing GW2 night turns into full blown just…agitation, annoyance and— You know what, it’s just disheartening at this point.
It was the third fractal, what was the worst that could happen? Initially we started fighting, a warrior decided to pull a grawl group too big and…everyone wipes. I’m the last to fend for myself while fighting off hoards of grawl. I eventually died due to being overwhelmed with my distortion, invulns, and evades down, and I’m growing more annoyed by their behavior, but I’ve gotten to the 3rd fractal so I’m nearly in the clear, No big deal, right?
As I am about to respawn, I find myself getting the loading screen for Lion’s Arch.
Excuse me? They must have meant to kick someone else, this has GOT to be a mistake…right?
