So how do pugs usually go at this? I’ve seen it go 3 ways usually.

1st scenario, majority of the party stacks and the small jelly fish get cleaved down. The boss breakbar gets broken as soon as it comes back up resulting in little to no damage as the mini jellyfish can’t get their condi up. I assumed this is the optimal and usual way.

2nd scenario, everyone with a ranged weapon sort of whittles it down. Constant fleeing as the jellyfish sort multiply like a plague. Lots of moving around and poking. Over all and painful, but successful. Awkward melee members just help reduce the mini jelly fish numbers as much as possible and try to rally the dead.

3rd scenario, there’s no communication, the melees instantly die because half the team is single target ranging . Everyone still alive tells the dead they’re dumb. Much raging and trash talking and party disbands.

It would be nice to get some sort of standard created for this instance so less of 3rd scenario occurs

Teach your pugs I would recommend. I/We always write it in the chat to go melee before the bossfight. I am/We are forgiving for the first 2-3 times when people don’t want to read/hear. After these few tries I/we will ask what is wrong with them and if they continue to refuse to communicate or play for success I/we start a vote kick and boot them.

When you swim in, just say: stack melee. No one has ever not listened to me when I do that.

Pretty much. I condi necro in fractals and have never had a problem with T4 aquatic. One epidemic wipes out all the baby jellies all while we break the bar and just kill it. No running from it or kiting it anywhere. Just murder it ded.

Best way to do this fractal is stack necros and elementalists. Epidemic and Air Overload are over powered underwater.

I just yolo melee the Jellyfish boss and tank the stun with reckless abandon. He basically can’t down anyone so long as you use your heal skills periodically and kill the baby jellies.

I tend to never have any trouble as a zerker tempest. Fresh air underwater = tons of air overloads and it massacres the little jellies.
