One of the major problems that exists with fractals (rewards aside) is lack of variety, with only 14 fractals right now, originally the plan was for them to be adding lots of new fractals. One way they could add to the fractals is by putting easier versions of some of the raids in there.

For example the running section between the first two bosses is a lot of fun, by making a more accessible version of that as a fractal, we could not only see more variety in fractals, but also people learning the mechanics in a more forgiving environment, which might encourage people to try out some of the raids.

I actually completely agree with this, as long as the raid loot is removed for it. The raid loot should only be in raids and the fractal loot should stay in fractals.
