My question: I was able to defeat the Vale Guardian with a fantastic pug group, but we ended it there. Now, can I join a group that is fighting Gorseval or do I need to find a group that is clearing the trash on the way to him?
You should be able to join either.
Personally, I’d suggest making your own group or finding a group that’s clearing the trash on the way to Gorseval.
The trash is actually really fun (the ghost run section), and clearing it allows you to access an additional chest in the raid by carrying the torch and lighting the brazier by Gorseval.
You’ll also get some tokens and gold for completing the events.
