What happened to the group of kodans after the 2nd boss?
Looks like the Mesmer pulled them into the AoE’s against the 2nd Champ
The door isn’t opened yet so that couldn’t of happened. They spawn at the bottom of the ramp and path up once you run past door. They just aren’t there though.

Actually, their pathing is triggered much earlier than that which is something we discovered as a happy accident during one of our test runs when one of us got feared against the door and we ended up being jumped by a bunch of crazy bears.
It will be more clear once Bukke uploads his PoV.
That really isn’t triggering their pathing. They are just magically teleporting to you like the rock in se p3.
Bukke is running to the door, that’s what triggers their pathing. Because they can’t find a path to him they instead teleport on him. Then he pulls them into the same corner as the boss.
SE p3 is a decent comparison, only difference being that those mobs don’t have a trigger area but instead are triggered by an event.

Good job! I’m glad you found what you were looking for mate.
Ofc cheezy dies at last boss.
Also, why glyph in air there instead of water? Did weakness really help compared to a longer cd on his rush?
And good job

The chill uptime didn’t last as long as we hoped for which in truth made it fairly useless compared to the weakness which sort of helps us facetank it without aegis. Those last few seconds of the endboss fight are torture to rewatch, if it doesn’t fall apart at the end that would easily end up as a 4:0x run

Both eles using it = 4s chill plus 4-8s more from water 3.
But yea, I’m not that sure either, just wanted to ask.

It was our starting idea as well, but we soon realised that we couldn’t sustain the chill uptime given that GoEP isn’t really the best source for it and being able to always land our water 3 was also unrealistic when factoring in the boss’ habit of catapulting itself into the ceiling.
Don’t get me started on that specific kittening endboss kill. I was so kittening done when the game somehow decided to detarget the boss and I wasted the complete timewarp and even more because of how kittened spear 2 works.

I see, makes sense now.
Well, thanks.
nice record, really well done!
Well, sadly the endboss was really bad. I think if someone devotes some time to it a 3:50 run isn’t impossible. But it all comes down to the endboss
We think we showcased the strategies very well because our run until the endboss was at minimal time loss compared to our very best splits, if someone feels like getting better RNG, so be it

I’m sure you guys tested it already, but I have to ask, did you try replacing the thief for an engineer for better vuln uptime particularly for the underwater fight?
Considering almost half the run is down to the final boss, it seems most time saved could be there. However losing a thief for their dps on the first half of the dungeon may not make it worth it.

We did consider it, but to be honest thief has good UW damage and stacks a good amount of vuln anyway, furthermore bursting down the quaggon boss is very important because ever little second longer those kitteners live the boss is a lot more irritating.
Fair enough, I just remember during the Trio Tournament there was 1 or 2 teams that used an engi in their comp for this path and they seemed to have consistently faster times. Although of course this could just be down to tactics and practise of the teams.

We considered it but never really got around to try it out since half of us didn’t have a lot of time to test it out. An engineer’s definitely not needed for a smooth Wollam kill, but it can probably make it a lot easier for everyone. In a different run we got a ~50 second Wollam kill with a thief (as opposed to the 1:20 kill in the videos) but we were unfortunately not able to replicate that particular kill and decided to settle with the 4:18 run since we were running out of time and had boss RNG the entire day.
