Just curious if dungeons (AC?) still the quickest way to get PVT gear or if something like farming COF for the gold and just TPing it is quicker? Thanks

I’m pretty sure Sorrow’s Embrace has it available, and path 1 and 3 are very easy to do. Whilst it isn’t popular at the moment it does take a while to find a group. However I think as more and more people grow tired of AC, SE will take its place.

HOTW is the easiest. P2 and P3 are too long without warriors though.

1. Do WvW for karma.
2. Go to temples in Orr.
3. ????
4. Profit.

I’ve been running AC quite frequently, so from those experiences I can tell you that it’s still relatively fast and easy (Path 1 is the fastest in my opinion). Just remember that the first completion of any dungeon path each day will give 60 tokens, and runs after that will give 20, then 15, then 10 tokens. If you switch dungeons, you’ll get 60 tokens for your first path again and then 20, 15, 10.

I think a full exotic Lv 80 set of P/V/T in AC is like.. 1380 tokens.

Depends on your character. I usually do AC for 300 tokens for pants(Used to be 240 though). The rest of the PVT armor is available through karma vendors at the temples(210k karma). If you need weapons though AC or another dungeon. You can also get PVT accessories from karma vendors in Orr now, but you can also buy them(or at least some?) off the TP. Obviously if you you want the ascended PVT stuff you need to do fractals, dailies, and guild missions(quit your small guild because ArenaNet hates them).

You can also do dungeon dailies again on different characters if I’ve been informed correctly. So having 2 characters means you can get an easy 360 tokens for 6 paths. Of course you probably won’t be doing AC path 3 without guardians now.

Karma vendors for some, farm WvW or CoF P1 (vials of karma). buff up before using.
JP farming in WvW you have at least 5 characters, best if theres a mesmer in ebg.
AC P1 switch 80’s through the day.
Do daily / monthly for laurels for Ascended neck, Fractual lvl 10 daily for Ascended rings and do guild missions for ascended accessories.

prepatch: ac all paths.
post-patch: ac path 1 farming. 2/3 are highly dependent on ai (either grast or ghost eater bugging and not going into traps anymore), whereas you can complete path 1 even if something bugs, as long as your fast enough.
use multiple chars, skip kohler/troll (I know, my sig, but we’re talking about speedfarming tokens here)

Thanks for everyones reply. I’ve been doing SE p1/3 and HOTW as someone suggested. AC is total RNG depending on who you get in your group. SE/HOTW are at least idiot proof.

People have said it before, but the karma vendors in Orr have PVT gear as well. So as you amass tokens from AC/SE/HotW you should get karma as well. I’d suggest buying helm, gloves, boots, and possibly shoulders with tokens and using karma for chest and pants. All karma pieces are the same price, but token pieces vary. Pants and Chest pieces are the most expensive, at around 300 tokens each. This way, you can maximize whatever you have to spend.

If your a warrior and like CoF1 then in a few hours you should have enough to buy all the armor and maybe a weapon depending on whats up. Are you sure you want all PVT ?
