RIP in peace mesmers.
~ Takes months to fix phantasmal berserker
~ Fails to fix phantasmal warden on two separate occasions
~ Makes no attempt to fix a number of buggy traits
~ Introduces skill-based grandmaster which is strong but not overpowered – immediately fixes because a mesmer used it against Grouch
And the final result:
Mesmers got boned even harder in the patch and are basically below necro tier in terms of dungeon viability.
Game over, yo.
Honestly it was still pretty overpowered in pve :x daze mantra takes practically no skill to use to completely disable a boss through defiant
You say it practically takes no skill but then I can quite safely say that if you told the average player in this game to run it they would either interrupt at the wrong time, spam it for every single attack or just forget to use it.

Mhmm, it’s around the same difficulty as dodging, except in this case you save the whole Lparty with it instead of just yourself. This of course is the basic principle of interrupting, but having it work through defiant is too much I’d say.

Honestly, power block just highlighted how bad GW2 bosses are. You disable 1 or 2 attacks and they just stand around like fools. That’s not an overpowered disable, that’s kitten boss design.
Power block was able to disable autoattacks so according to this logic players’ design is also kittenty.
sigh
Holding on to that last sliver of hope that I won’t have to retire my mesmer…
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”

lets just say, that for in guild wars 2, in which you have bad boss design, its overpowered untill they step up their game and improve said design.

It’s not even a GW specific joke lol, pretty much just internet standard at this point
“kitten , I forgot to farm it and now it’s too late. I hate temporary content.”

Ah, come on. Don’t be like that. It’s fineeeeee. You’ll still be able to play it everywhere!
Whatever you don’t reach in damage, just compensate with your awsum skeels and reflects and… stuff.
Here, I play ranger quite often and I suck at it, yet my friends let me take it and carry me everywhere. Should be easier for you, since you don’t suck. We’ll still be loving you no matter what class you play. <3
