When I killed the Vale Guardian for the first time, I felt super happy and lucky to drop the Mini Blue Guardian. Yesterday my raidteam and I defeated it again and guess what I dropped again.? – the same Mini Blue Guardian.
I know I shouldn’t complain, knowing people in my team didn’t get any proper loot what so ever, yet it feels even worse getting a “lucky” but worthless drop.
If only there was a way of exchanging redundant Minis into Magnetite Shards in the mystic forge like we can do with Mini Risen Priests of Balthazar and Obsidian Shards.

True, you should never get repeated minis, i hope ArenaNet change this.

It happens. I wouldn’t be upset. And they shouldn’t either. Just pray to RNGesus you get something good next time. I RARELY got ascended boxes when doing fotms prior to HoT, though everyone in my guild was constantly getting them. Remember, take into account their Magic Find.

yes, but repeated account bound mini is 100% useless

I hope we can forge it to different colors and then combine three different colors for the Vale Guardian mini. So it would take at least 6 repeated Blue mini (or even more!) to have them all. The same way they do it with mini Old Tom.

IMO if they don’t make the minis sellable to merchants (1-2g MINIMUM) they should change the reward structure to only give minis from hardest achievements per boss.
This way people feel more rewarded from doing those achievements and can also prove that they have done something challenging in raids.
Currently we just end up getting multiples of the same useless minis which “take slots” from actual good useful rewards.

Maybe a way to exchange them for some extra tokens ?
