I am a bit ticked off right now, and I cannot understand how come more people aren’t.

Raids are HoT content, yet for some yet unexplained silly anet reason I can’t choose HoT stats from my ascended armor boxes……

I can understand if a fractal ascended box doesn’t have hot stats, after all it is NOT hot content.

But how come the weapons from the magnatite vendor have the new stats, yet the kitten armor boxes do not !

Where is the logic in that ?

And don’t give me any annoying useless excuses about how the boxes for fractals and raids are the same. if need be change the name or item code make them different boxes whatever, just do what is RIGHT !

Either way they know and are working on it. I don’t recall if its part of tomorrows updates or not.

Par for the course, the devs forget a lot of stuff.

Also happens a lot when playing catch up all the time.

Dont fret, it may cost a bit of extra gold. But you can convert ascended armor in the mystic forge.

The ascended equipment dropped from the boss chests does have HoT stats though. Not the generic ones bought with magnetite shards.

The Priory Scholar vendor in Spirit Vale now sells boxes of ascended armor that include the new stat combinations introduced in Heart of Thorns™.

that is besides the point….

they changed them they should allow people to swap them boxes for the new ones.
it’s a principles thing. I got enough gold to do whatever I want, that don’t mean they should get away with kitten like this.

“Get away with kitten like this” is fairly myopic of you. Really, they listened to every single raid reward request I passed on to them as part of my raid specialist reports. It takes a lot of time to allow you to convert one type of box (which can’t even be distinguished from the Fractal boxes) in the old system to another in the new because each one would have to be a different currency. It’s a massive undertaking that they expertly decided wasn’t worth the effort, especially when people in your situation can simply open a support ticket to get it figured out if you’re so adamant on not converting in the mystic forge.

The boxes that were previously available on the vendor were the same boxes as you could get from fractal dailies. Unfortunately, there’s no way we could distinguish boxes purchased from the raid in order to set up a way to exchange or update them.

If you have unused armor boxes purchased from the raid vendor from before the patch, Support may be able to exchange it for one of the new chests that do offer the new stat combinations if you open up a ticket with them.

already did put in a ticket haven’t heard from them yet.
my boxes are unopened.

My ascended boxes have been fully refunded.

Wow, really? That’s sad…

I feel bad for people who want to play condi and don’t already have their Vipers set. That gear was a pain in kitten and I actually thought that now people would have a less miserable option.

I gotta say though…after all the grind I went through in HoT, I decided to resub WoW and I appreciate it a lot more. I mean, you still have grind and gear treadmills, but you also have a lot of unique fun content you can do while you get the gear you need.

On the other hand, there’s really no reason to have those stat sets restricted to raid drops only. It would be different is, say, Vipers were useful only there, but they aren’t.
