Raid too easy, please make timer tighter.
Yes but can be done by how many 1 team 5 teams 6 teams?
If so thats 60 people out of how many milions? Think of others then yourself mate.
dont feed the troll
People just haven’t realised how easy these raid bosses really is. The timer is way too forgiving. Raid is supposed to bring out the best ability of people. Those who don’t want to improve have only themselves to blame.
PvE never was about skill. It’s just a gear check, nothing more.
I have to agree. This raid is too easy but it’s not the timer that needs changing. I think the encounter could be a lot harder. The bosses needs more powerful unblockable/undodgeable moves that wipes anyone who has less than 95% health at the time of attack. So the healer has to make sure everyone is at full health before the attack. Also they should put invisible holes that players can fall into and die. The only way to avoid the holes is to memorize all 30 different possible configurations. It should feel like you’re fighting a boss and doing a difficult jumping puzzle at the same time. And just to make things even more interesting… all players attack moves should have a lag-effect, like how it is in WvW when two big zergs collide and your attacks are not registering until 3 seconds later. And to make Raid a serious business, any players who leaves a raid or gets disconnected during a raid will have their account receive dishonor and their raid gears confiscated. And if you fail a raid, your character’s lvl will downgrade as well. Now that’s is some hardcore raiding. Let’s do this! Make raid more challenging. XD
Currently vale guardian can be done with 3 mins remaining on the clock. The enrage timer should be about 6 mins instead of 8 mins.
Gorseval can be done with 1:30 mins remaining on the clock. Please tighten the timer by 1 mins.
Good for you, now when your done bragging perhaps go back then and help some of those who do have problems understanding the mechanics of the fight.
Or are you and the other few who can do it this fast going to finance the next expansion on your own?
The Ego is strong with this one.

Yea no lol.
Timer is there to ensure you have a certain amount of DPS.
What’s gonna kill ya is the mechanics, nice try.

Such an artificial and thoughtless way of increasing the difficulty of a raid. If the timer is still shortened by 2 minutes, and you’re completing it with 3 minutes remaining, this doesn’t do a single thing to make things more difficult for yourself.
I think the difficulty is good enough for a casual game like GW2. If the enrage timers would be more unforgiving, it would hurt class and build diversity.

Why should OP want to make things more difficult for himself?
He just wants to screw the players not as elite as him xD
I think that next wings will be even better, harder and diversified.
My only problem with raiding in the first wing yet is that it should demand more from “tanks” and healers, bringing higher pressure instead of racing with the timer.

I agree with OP, right now Timers arent challenging cause they give you far too much time for completing the bosses.
Dont forget to change the timer for Thaumanova Challenge.

Don’t tighten the timer, add more damage to it, or better yet, let it summon other players to assist it.
Oh, and fix the glitch that lets the guardian get stuck in the pillar.

If their intention is to have only 5% of the player population finish the raids — I believe they’ve stated this (or something close to it) — they’re going to have to decrease the timers or tweak the bosses. Decreasing the timers is easier so probably that.
The timers were never there to be the primary challenge anyways.
If their intention is to have only 5% of the player population finish the raids
Surely that would be a horrible business decision. Think about any future updates to Raids and the rage over the fact that Anet is wasting resources on such a small population of the game.
I suspect that as long as ANet tunes raids to be doable at all, there are going to be complaints about the bosses being too easy. It’s kind of the nature of this game’s combat.

That’s why there should be multiple difficulties. Otherwise, someone will complain regardless.

Well, they still support sPvP so it’s not like there isn’t a precedent.
While the overwhelming majority is still sitting on killing the Vale Guardian and probably will never get it, only the known guilds have beaten Gorseval so far plus few others and that should be the reason to make the content harder?
I am fine with hard stuff, I liked VG and Gorsi very much but this game shouldn’t become an exclusion race with just 2 guilds or so on the top.
And you must not forget: It’s the first wing and nothing is “easy” here except for the hardcore players when the content is done several times.
Please chill a bit and when I am hearing many hardcore players in every YT-Vid so far crying out loud after defeating a boss I doubt that it was “so frickin amazing hardcorely easy peasy” and you can feel their relaxation after the success after a decent amount of work.

A truly hardcore raider who want harder content would say:
“Raid too easy, please introduce some more challenging mechanics to bosses”
Instead you said:
“Raid too easy, please make timer tighter.”
That sounds like "i want less people complete raid so i can showing off i’m pro but i dont want a more challenging content so pls make it “harder” with moar gearcheck – raidsetup"
I suggest you to move to a serious raid based mmo to check the real meaning of “hard”

Yeah, been saying that for a while. Probably won’t happen. Maybe they could do something like Liadri gambits, using a tighter timer in exchange for a bit better of a drop rate, though.

There’s the whole ESport thing. Just as game developers want a piece of the large WoW pie, so too do they want a piece of the huge MOBA pie.

Please apply some critical thinking skills before you make such statements:
“Fastest growing” doesn’t preclude low population at all.
In fact you have no idea how they are measuring growth: is it players per day? players per week? players per month? players per year? Are they measuring in percentages?
So if the population is 100 and the game becomes F2P, and one day 50 new players click on the PvP icon by accident, do they count that as 50% growth rate? Not unlikely as their announcement was exactly as the game when F2P.
Plus, there’s the precedent where they said WvW was doing great! …and then it turned out they were including all the PvE EotM karma-train-levelers in those numbers. So we’ve seen them being disingenuous with their statistics.
By all player accounts, PvP population is low.
So it appears Anet is willing to sink lots of money and dev time into low population content. And again, they themselves have said that they only expect a small percentage of players to complete raids.
Personally I think arena net should remove the secret mouse gesture that kills him instantly.

Do you mind sharing any proof for your statements?
I really think the timers are perfect right now. They enforce a certain level of DPS that gives players new to raids or casual players in general something to push for, forces build refinement, forces team coordination, but isn’t too strict that players don’t feel like they can ever win. It gives players hope, and that’s pretty great.

More importantly, where is the down vote button?

By how many teams?
If 2-3 groups managed to pull that time, are you going to going to increase difficulty for the remaining 99.9% players?

Wait guys, hold on.
Are…are you taking him seriously?
Why? This is the first wing of the raid. Arenanet isn’t tossing out the Legendary Armor just yet lol. This is them testing the waters, and they did a pretty nice job. Raid Timers are not the only measure of how a group can proceed you know.
Actually, my arguments are pretty pointless given a certain few guilds have tested other wings so we are likely to get what they got soon enough.
However, please understand that DPS timers are not the only factor in a good encounter, understand? Ala, please google Karazhan from World of Warcraft and you can catch some idea of really, really good design for raids.
Thanks! Also don’t feed Bacon, eat Bacon instead, its delicious!

I got an idea. Make all the bosses 1 shot with a basic attack.
OP is obviously trolling.
It’s not because some (a minority) players managed to beat it in ideal setup and circumstances that things should be changed.
Give it 3 months and see how many teams have beaten the first boss. I mean different teams, not the number of the same teams over and over again. Then you can see what percentage of players actually plays the Raids.
My guess ? Not even 5% of the total gamer population cares about those raids. It might seem different on the forums here, but ingame, a LOT of people have tried and failed miserably. Some even go in there and try again for over 20 hours…. and fail.
Most of those i know have already given up on that (imo pointless) content. It’s good for real nolifer hardcore players, but a huge majority of GW2 doesn’t really care for it.
And this is just the first raid.
Here is my suggestion : lower the timer by 20% and increase the vale dmg by 50% before enraging. Let’s see how many of those trolls will come here and complain then about their “challenging content”.
p.s. : take a look at the raid achievements. Rediculous. What’s up for the next raid ? Don’t get hit at all and gain 5 ach. points ? Lmfao.
