How is it forming a raid group on an EU server ( EU timezone)?
I’m finding we have to wait around till around 9pm UTC til east coast US starts logging in, in order to find enough raid-capable players to attempt with. Meaning half or more of my evenings are gone before I can even start.
If you are on an EU server, why do you have to wait for US players to login?
Don’t you want to raid with the EU players? Why do you think they are not “raid-capable”?
To clarify ( as if this wasn’t abundantly clear already):
I am on jade quarry a US server I have no desire to move to EU due to guild.
This is why I am asking about what is it like on EU servers.

Most raids start 9pm, some start 8 pm. 7 pm is to early for most ppl. They tend to end at 10-12pm depending on mood of people or their next days planning.
@ phoebe, that is on an EU server?
Where there (should be) people on European time zones, which are ahead of utc.
Such as a German guildie of mine, who is an hour ahead of utc.
Meaning start times of 8-10pm and finish time of 11pm-1am local time for him.
So assuming your times are on eu servers, it sounds to me like EU servers are having to do the same as I am on a us server:
wait til east coast us or those with student schedules from us can get online to bolster the numbers.
Anyone got another view or experience to share on this? 150+ views and no other comments suggest to me that the times posted are pretty much the consensus.
Edit: odd showed 420+ views to the thread before i logged in. Oh well.

I’m not quite sure what you are reaching for here. I’m sure that wether or not you are playing on NA or EU servers, if you form a group around late afternoon/evening local time you’ll without fail get people.
Finding capable people has nothing to do with schedules. I’d recommend forming your own squad and that way you can easily replace the players who underperform.
@snowball, what time zone are you on?
Edit: referring to the utc times listed above as afternoon-early evening suggests you are on an American timezone.
Also taking 1-2 hours to find players who even have suitable runes and sigils. Unless you are suggesting I take terrible phiws with garenteed failure.
I simply have to wait for east coast us to log in at around 9pm utc to have enough raid capable players.

I’m in UTC+1, the same time as the majority of EU players.
The late afternoons/evenings I was refering to was anybody’s local time, here in EU that means 5+ hours from now. I feel you’re describing it worse than it actually is. Looking at the LFG right now I see 10 different ‘LFR’, people just need to start stepping up and form the group they want to join.
We have no trouble finding ppl at any time. The challenge is in providing that u are an exp n serious group lf likeminded, if u care about outcome.
I find it takes significant time to:
(a) GEARCheck – why do we need to do this?
→ People who think PVT Gear is good as a PS War with a Vipers Greatsword [We ask for a PS War]
—> Solution Gear Inspection Tool
(b) OFF-HOURS – being on a NA Server in a EU Timezone (Less available players)
—> It is OFF-HOURS if on a NA Server in a EU Timezone – This is just a FACT.
© RAID Reset TIME
—> The Reset time is 8am Monday – This means that by the time EU gets home from work (on a NA Server) the playerbase is even smaller.
How to FIX? :: Move RESET Time to a FRIDAY Night (or SAT morning).
This would then allow EU/US/OCX to play together as the reset time is friendlier to all (Weekends allow individuals better access for scheduling than a mid-week reset).
so..
What server are you on?
Desolation by the sig.
Which is EU?
which is not NA where in finding there is problems with eu timezones.
So how about feedback on how it’s different instead of trying to say “I don’t have a problem, so there is no problem”.
Also 5 hours from now I will still be in work. Not everyone can finish school then start playing. Where were you going with that?
Also, pls stop with the “form your own group” mantra.
I have a guild. With raid capable players. I am usually stuck finding the last 1-5 slots.
Forming my own group is not a solution to filling up last spots [b]in my own group[\b].
Apparently the difference between “what is it like on the other servers, it’s like this here” and “QQ” was too subtle for you to notice.

On which timezones are you playing and which server?
Otherwise your comment is meaningless and can be paraphrased to “I don’t have a problem, kitten you for wanting to be able to enjoy it like I can!”
Which helps no one to see the difference between server groups.

+1 gmt and im on piken square. My comment was more of a food for thought. Raids are fine and dandy, theres always a supply of people wanting to join a raid. The quality of exisiting raid groups and raiders wanting to join vary, many good puggers are hesistant in joining as well since they want good groups to join. Call it luck or careful planning which affects outcome. Of course we all have different standards, my point of view is to be able to clear all 3 bosses in one evening run, as raid mechanics have been shared to the commonwealth by now. But this wasnt the OP question, I just wanted to elaborate.
So you are on Piken Square which is an EU Server.
Please Read the post – this is about EU Players trying to find people (and decent qualitY) on NA SErvers.

Almost. It’s about how it seems to be a very different experience between the server divide.
So for those who are on eu:
Let’s put a scenario out there:
Squad at 7/10.
Needing a herald, engi( or condi war), ps war.
Reasonable standard.. Asc weapons and trinkets, runes and sigils suitable to class. Eg scholar/berserker/str runes respectively. Sigils to compliment them such as force/air for the Rev (and not accuracy sigils for example as Rev will be over 100% crit rate already with buffs).
To find these three classes to that standard, can take 20-120 minutes. Later in the week making it significantly worse for forming. (Which personally means half or more of my available time during the week gone).
How long does it take on an EU server to fill these last 3 slots.

On the plusside, as u pick up pugs u can just add them, and eventually u have ppl to ask

Oh we have been for months via dungeons and Fotm.
The problem is still timezone mismatch for a lot of them, so either not on, or already done it. Such is the way with a weekly lockout. It happened a lot with dungeons and a daily lockout too. Just less so due to finding 5 being much easier and being able to trio without much real difference besides time to complete.
Back on topic: how long does it take to fill those 3 raid spots on EU?
