Raids and PvP Tools
I think this would be a great idea. Would allow for real improvement since you can objectively see performance after the fact. I think we also need the ability to export combat logs for more in-depth break downs too. I used to love world of logs back years ago in WoW. So much information…lead to lots of healthy competition and improvement back then.

I agree that a basic damage dealt, damage received, outgoing healing etc would be very useful.
If the worry is that people will be excluded because they aren’t keeping up… I wouldn’t worry. In general, no matter what game, its obvious in a raid who is and isn’t doing their job. If the job is, as we saw in open beta vale guardian fight, for 4 people to get to the aoe and soak it and one person fails to get there 33% of the time its painfully obvious who sucks. DPS summaries will just help groups refine their play.

It would be nice but it would need to be displayed and accessible longer than in the PvP case.
I was sitting in a PvP match with some friends, and we were talking about raids. Remembering a few forum posts on Raid tools, we were wondering if anyone had talked about using the PvP statistics displayed at the end of a match (damage dealt, healing to allies, boons applied, etc, etc.), but putting them in a Raid. For instance, every time you left a raid or click “Retry from Checkpoint”, a box would appear with those statistics like it does at the end of a PvP match. This would give raiders some idea of how they were contributing to the raid/ what changes they might need to make.
Anyways, just a thought we had. Figured I would post it here.
keep your elitist crap in PvP, took us almost 4 years to get Anet to separate PvP and PvE in GW1, no going back.
