As it has been made aware by various players, we have made some purchases with tokens by mistake, others by easily mistakable errors etc. For example, the Twilight Arbor Medium and Light gear, have the exact same stats and images causes people to miss-purchase their item. I am one of those people.

I have also been made aware via friends that apparently you ’don’t have the power’ to refund or exchange these items. Why not?

If that is the case you really need to implement a time period where we can refund our items or atleast change the images so they aren’t the same and this doesn’t happen! But I believe that people who have made aware to ANet that this is an issue and this has occurred should receive a refund of their purchase. As for some it has taken days/weeks to obtain these dungeon pieces.

I agree with the op but he forgot about the Runes:
the vendor tooltips does not say that the runes are all soulbound on acquire and I bought one Superior Rune of the Nightmare with my elementalist to give it to my necromancer.
SURPRISE! The Rune in my inventory was soulbound!

I sent a ticket to the support to pinpoint it and asking if it is possible to have back the tokens and remove the rune from the inventory as the tooltip was misleading, after 6 days they answered to think at every purchase as final and to think carefully on what I buy.
Totally missed the point: I did’not buy it by “mistake”, I bought it because the vendor didn’t show the RIGHT object.

Also this problem with armors is absurd: if they’re soulbound on character Anet should have disabled the possibility to buy an armor you can’t use.

The best solution is to make also the equipment you buy account bound, and possibly asking for a confirm about buying items showing the stat of the item you selected (except for the 1 token stuff maybe)

Farming for 2 weeks to buy 2x runes that after purchase suddenly are soulbound on character.
Tough vender never showed that they would bind on aquire!!!
