Repeatable achievement - Full Fractal Tour
people dodge certain instabilities because the rewards are so bad compared to the difficulty, if level 100 fractal instability is the hardest thing the game will offer and also provides the best rewards you can get from pve content, then people will do it.
However if it’s non repeatable content daily reward that you have a really small chance of getting anything at all, then yeah people won’t do it, because that’s horrible game design.
I agree, but again, balancing all 100 levels to be the same reward/skill vs time, is unrealistic. Making each fractal have its own unique value as part of this meta reward would help.
This is actually a really good idea which would help enhance repeatedly playing FotM the way it is meant to be played. As you said, the rewards would have to be worth it and would need to be something like a 3rd tier of fractal weapons (which is more valued than the gold ones) or fractal armor.
Overall, I really like this suggestion and hope Anet uses it.

This is a good idea, i am still argueing that in the later levels they should return to the 4 shard business but when that inevitably does not get done, this is something i would appreciate.

If Mister E was right with the leaks, we would be getting Seasonal Fractal Leaderboards which would be like a race to reach 100. Perhaps there could be rewards for completing the full 1-100 too even though you werent the fastest to do so. It’s like the seasonal Fractal reset but is seperate from your current FoTM lvl :P

That’s interesting. I hope a race to 100 isn’t just a competition to see who has the most time to commit to fractals, but rather more so based on skill. Of course skill comes from practice, but idk it feels different to me to reward skill vs. just free time.
Yeah, a reward just for completing 1-100 could be tacked on to that. It would also get a lot more people competing in that race, which I think could help grow the community.
I like the idea but I dont see how this would boost peoples willingness to help newbies it seem to more exlude them and get a tightknitt group that know their kittens together.
This is a good idea. I madesure to suggest in on one of Colin’s comments on reddit on the day of the blog post. Hopefully, more exposure will help make this into a reality.
One additional detail, I suggested was that the reward for this achievement should be akin to the currently monthly ones. I.e. A perma qccount bonus such as agony resistqnce or magic find while in fractals tied with a selectable big reward such as ascended weapons/armor/backpieces, golden fractal weapons, etc. etc.

Some of my friends pointed out, that perhaps segmented versions of this idea would be better. I.E. a repeatable full tour achievement for 1-20, a separate repeatable full tour achievement for 21-50, and a final one for 51-100. Obviously balance the reward.
